For over 15 years in the MCU, Thor’s lightning has always been blue. It didn’t matter if he was using Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, or even Zeus’ Thunderbolt. The only time it changed was in Thor: Love and Thunder, when he shared his power with the Asgardian children and the lightning turned gold.

Now that same gold lightning can be seen in Avengers: Doomsday. In Marvel Comics, this color is linked to the Odinforce, the powerful energy of the All-Father. An official teaser also shows Thor asking his father for more power.

With Doctor Doom being such a massive threat, this could be Thor’s biggest power upgrade yet. If Marvel is adapting the Odinforce, we may be about to see the strongest version of Thor ever.
