Declan Gibson is a 6’3, 235-pound defensive end from Marblehead High School, class of 2026. A two-sport athlete in football and basketball, he earned NEC All-Star honors with 3.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss during his season. On the field, Gibson stands out as a powerful and skilled player. He’s strong and fast, with a knack for tracking the ball from the line of scrimmage. He holds his ground well, shifts directions smoothly, and powers through contact to disrupt plays. Whether crashing the line or checking down, he’s tough to contain. His ability to read offensive linemen and react quickly helps him control the perimeter and keep quarterbacks and running backs in check.
Gibson excels as a pass rusher, using a mix of hand techniques, swim moves, and spins to throw blockers off balance. He pressures quarterbacks and running backs alike, sealing the edge and forcing plays back inside. When he tackles, he wraps up securely—once he’s got you, it’s likely over. His lateral movement allows him to work sideline to sideline, staying in the face of opponents with relentless energy.

Beyond physical gifts, Gibson brings intelligence to the game. He reads formations, adjusts on the fly, and executes with precision.
