2 robot install in North Cork for a single operator with 120 cows.
This farmer's driving force behind moving to a robotic system was difficulty trying to get labour, balancing farming with family life and wanted to improve flexibility. Looking forward to start up!

@AgrilandIreland Let me explain this a farmer with 100 cows stocked at 250 kgn/ ha band 2 will produce 9200kgn on 36.8 ha . At 220kgn/ha 12 cows have to go if not sold for 6 months 24 cows have to go. So next year 12 cows will have to be purchased to get back to 88 cows
@agriculture_ie Nitrates derogation limit cut from 250 to 220kg costs farmer €370-380/ha Teagasc has found. Add in banding change & profit is cut by €700/ha or 30% of farm profit, @teagasc research has shown. "This is a very serious & significant issue for farmers," - Prof O'Mara #CS2023
