In his speech yesterday, Keir Starmer finally called out Farage over Brexit, but he should have done that from day one, and used that to bring communities together, instead, he ignored it, did little to address misinformation online or even in the papers and on TV

We have a problem with information mismanagement, even by our politicians, and until this is addressed, this cycle of half truths will continue

What fantastic news from Hungary. Proof that if you stand up to it right wing kleptocratic populist authoritarianism can be beaten. Orban will now flee somewhere with his wealth. But this is more than a bad night for him. It is a bad night for Putin who as in Moldova spent a fortune trying to rig it. It is a bad night for Trump. It is a bad night for Vance and Rubio who believed that their mere presence in Budapest would swing the vote Orban’s way. They helped Magyar! . It is a bad night for Farage the AfD and Le Pen because it shows that when their brand of politics is exposed to serious opposition and scrutiny it collapses. Magyar is far from the perfect leader but my God he deserves all the congratulations coming his way for ousting Orban and showing how it can be done. He now has the tough job of dismantling the corrupt systems and bodies installed over 16 years. The people of Hungary deserve our thanks for showing these people can be beaten. And Zelensky now deserves far greater support from Europe.

Otherwise you’re just letting companies sell our oil on the global market and get no national control and very little national benefit.

Trump is having to be reminded that when you threaten an EU member on trade, in this case Spain, the EU comes to your defence.

That's one of the key perks of being part of a bloc which negotiates trade as one cohesive unit: nobody can pull you out of the pack and savage you.

But says UK will align with the EU for trade

Keir Starmer also thinks that UK-India, UK-US, UK-EU reset, UK-Australian, and UK-new Zealand deals which contribute less than 1% to GDP is better than rejoining the EU which would add 8-9% to our GDP

This is now Labour's Brexit, so tax rises and spending cuts are because Labour are choosing to keep the UK outside the EU
