nobody will remember:
- your salary
- how “busy you were”
- how many hours you worked
people will remember:
- Jermaine Jenas talking about 'securing the coin'
Can't work out if Peppa is left handed and about to pull this ball for six
...or right handed and is too late on this shot and is about to wear it right in the face
Hopefully the latter. Serves her right for not wearing a lid against short pitched bowling and smiling about it.
Under Southgate it’s been the best time being an England fan. He’s given us so many great memories. Some will always point to the lack of a trophy win but that paints a misleading picture. He restored pride and joy back to the England mens team and I’ll be forever grateful 🏴
We fell short of what we wanted to achieve this summer, but this group gave everything and have done us proud.
Your support in Germany and back home has been incredible. Thank you. ❤️
So close and yet so, so far.
The Ramble started in 2007 and England (and Steve McClaren) didn’t even qualify in 2008.
In 2010, we were all bored to tears and the players were locked in Fabio Capello’s prison.
In 2012, we never had a hope in hell against Italy.
In 2014, the best moment of the tournament was Raheem Sterling putting it in the side netting.
In 2016, well… they were all just headphones.
In 2018, we got further than we thought and won an actual penalty shootout.
In 2021, Southgate was outmanoeuvred and we should’ve won.
In 2022, we played *some* brilliant attacking football, but France were too good.
In 2024, we were bad, then even worse - but, BUT we got to another final. And we at least had some great memories along the way.
England. Fuck you. But also, thank you.
