If you’re not familiar with us, we’re an AI powered e-Discovery and legal research platform for busy law firms and in-house departments.
Decover and discover how much time and resources we can save you and your team
Hi! I am Ravi, founder of DecoverAI, a platform that I started building with the goal of improving the lives of those engaged in legal work.
Join us at: https://t.co/E4sFP5R6mc
Building in legaltech has been a great experience, but at times it has felt like an unnecessary arms race. Large, VC-backed startups have taken center stage, and somewhere along the way, the honesty and willingness to build for the masses seem to have been lost in the sales show.
We believe there are better ways to build technology in law ways in which the community gets to put its ideas to the test, and ways in which builders can learn from and contribute back to the community.
While we are technologists and product builders and recognize that we may lack a deep understanding of certain legal concepts, there is still a lot of room to build a mutually beneficial relationship and create amazing tools that solve day-to-day problems in a slightly better way.
This is one of the reasons we are opening up our platform and choosing to build in the open: to gather feedback from the community and incorporate the best ideas into the products we build.
We hope y’all enjoy the journey and contribute to it with the same enthusiasm and openness with which we hope to build it.
Disclaimer: This community is intended for open discussion, learning, experimentation, and the exchange of ideas around legal technology. Nothing shared here constitutes legal advice, and views expressed by community members are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of DecoverAI. Participation, feedback, or discussion does not create an attorney-client, professional, employment, or commercial relationship with DecoverAI.
>sam altman: "we tried this because there were rumor on the internet"
>rumor: math professor close to solving navier-stokes
>the professor: using codex for a year
>openai: has all his logs
>checked every codex session tagged to N-S
>found the most promising one
>spun up 10,000 agents to finish the proof where he couldn't
>they got caught
>told the guy if you say anything you'll destroy your own career
>he ruins his career over this
>openai: "we did not see his work"
>also openai: "we cannot rule out that de-identified data from their usage helped improve our models"
they stole it lmao
I know I talk about about legal costs pricing people out of the system -- but it's a huge problem.
I got a $951 bill for a 90 page depo.
This is unsustainable for regular people and small businesses.
