🗣 Marc Cucurella: "It’s my first World Cup and I can’t wait to be there and enjoy this tournament.
Hopefully we can arrive, play our best football – and why not arrive to the last stages? We go step by step, and let’s see what we can do."

‼️I'm sure Chelsea, even if they sell it Enzo Fernandez this summer, they will not make life easy for any club approaching them for Enzo.

🗣️ James Rodriguez: "Katar'a gittiğimde bana inanılmaz paralar ödediler ama özel hayatım tam bir kabusa döndü. Kültür o kadar farklıydı ki adapte olamadım.
Mesela, orada herkes yemek yerken ellerini kullanıyordu.
🚨 Luís Figo on leaving Barcelona for Real Madrid in 2000:
🗣️ “People call it the biggest betrayal in football history, but nobody ever asked how I felt during that period.
At FC Barcelona, I gave everything pressure, sacrifices, responsibility every single week and still there were moments I felt abandoned and unappreciated behind the scenes.
Then Real Madrid C.F. came with ambition, respect, and made me feel like one of the most important players in the world.
Yes, I knew Spain would explode when I signed in 2000. I knew the whistles, the insults, the anger from the fans would be brutal, but at that point my mind was already made up.
Sometimes in football, loyalty alone is not enough when you no longer feel truly valued.
And honestly, the pressure after the transfer was like a war every time I touched the ball. Every stadium felt hostile, every match felt personal.
But those moments also made me mentally stronger, because once I made the decision, there was no fear left in me anymore.
People can insult me forever for that decision, but I will never apologise for choosing the path I believed was best for my career.”
‼️The fact Chelsea are looking at players who are ready-made starters speaks volumes. It is not a case of signing someone older, necessarily, but an individual who is accustomed to the pressures of a busy fixture schedule as well as performing at a high level.
Chelsea are also looking for emotionally mature personnel, which is partly motivated by a desire to improve their disciplinary record.

🗣 Hernan Crespo: "I always say I wish I had another life where I could have spent more days at Chelsea. I am an older man now, and I would like to come back to understand it better.
It was very hard for me personally at that time. My days at Chelsea, and for my family, were not easy - but the fans were amazing."

‼️ There is a list of untouchables in the squad which includes Reece James, Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Levi Colwill, Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro and Josh Acheampong.
The absence from this list of two of the most senior members of the squad in Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella shows it is not written in stone that the longest-serving players are certain to stay regardless.

Scott Minto on Xabi Alonso:
🗣 "I think he's even the better manager after leaving Real Madrid than before he went to Real Madrid.
So, for him to come to Chelsea now and have the manager tag, and people might turn around and say, 'Well, it doesn't mean anything.' I think it does to the owners."

"The English media are using this as mind games to destabilise the team, but we trust and support our player, and we remain focused."

🏴☀️ Harry Kane: "The hot weather? The drinks breaks help. A lot of people are talking about the heat but I don't think it's going to be as big a factor as what some people say." 🤷
"Me personally and a few of of the boys who have been training for a while in it felt fine today. We're all athletes, we're all professionals and have played in warm weather conditions before." (BBC)
🚨⚫️🔵 Inter director Piero Ausilio: “It’s no secret we’re following Curtis Jones. He’s a player we like, we’re not hiding”.
“We will see the developments”.
‼️Boehly has made it clear that his preference would be to move Chelsea from their current site into a new multi-purpose stadium.
Clearlake has not made their position on the stadium public, but it is believed to broadly align with that of Boehly.

🗣 Estevão: "Playing in the World Cup is a dream come true, everyone hopes for it. So that [injury] was a moment of great, great sadness in my heart.
I cried so much in my parents' arms, no joke, I cried a lot. It's in moments like these that you need the people you love, and I'm very grateful for that.
But life goes on. Now it's about recovering well and getting treatment to get back as soon as possible."

Cesc Fabregas on the state of Como when he took over:
🗣 “They gave me a group of lads. I couldn’t sign anyone. We had three defenders, seven midfielders and 11 strikers or something like this. I had to invent. I was playing with two No 10s as full-backs.
The team played 5-4-1, a lot of counter-attacks and defended very deep. I couldn’t change everything straight away in the middle of the season.
So I preferred to change the defensive phase more than the offensive side. We went to a back four instead of a back five, zonal, not so much man-to-man and a little bit higher.”

🗣 Shaun Wright-Phillips: "Players like Enzo, Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer and even the likes of Cucurella or Reece James will want to stay at that club, but they want to know the club's stable and moving forward at the same time."

🗣 Teddy Sheringham: "In my view, Morgan Rogers is the only No. 10 in the England squad for what I’m looking for from a player in that position.
Maybe that’s why you’d take Cole Palmer just to change it up when needed because they’re very different players."
