Marauders showed some fight in the seventh, pushing one across but get caught stealing for the final out, ending their season at 13-8.

Wilmington gets little more insurance and Dedham trails 6-1 with 7-8-9 coming up in bottom of the seventh.

Dedham offense finally gets a jolt from Liana Florio, who crushes one to left for a solo HR.

That is all the Marauders can manage though as Wilmingto takes a 5-1 lead to the seventh.

Wilmington strikes first blood with four in the second inning. Dedham had a a chance to get out of the inning unscathed but could not make a play on a grounder to third and the Wildcats followed with four straight singles.

Here at Loewen Field where No. 16 Dedham is hosting No. 17 Wilmington in the Round of 32 of the D3 tournament.

Winner will take on top-seeded Dighton-Rehoboth in the Round of 16.

Courts were pretty wet when Dedham arrived but after a squeegeeing warmups are underway and looks like we are a go if we can avoid more rain.
