A symbol of hope in Nigeria.
Wizkid’s story comes to Music Box Season 2 in #WizkidLongLiveLagos, from Executive Producer Bill Simmons and director Karam Gill. Premieres December 11 on @hbomax.
This is why it is so hard to break out of poverty, especially in places like Nigeria.
These 2 daughters will now have to take out of their meagre salaries to look after their mum who could have kept on working and fending for herself.
Those 2 daughters will, therefore, be less able to save and invest their way out of poverty. And as inflation reduces their purchasing power, they slide further deeper into poverty.
Consider the rich. They keep supporting their children even into adulthood. Their children are able to save, invest and consolidate on the wealth.
Dating a Nigerian is also a unique experience for a white babe. You know how much this guy earns and he is still telling you he will take care of the bills. It doesn't make sense to them. Even in her father's house, she started paying rent for her room when she clocked 18.
You either pay rent or go find your own place. How can she now live with her man and allow him carry everything? You'll be on your own and you'll get message about how the bill is split. She no go gree.
Because they have value for money, every little thing impresses them. It makes it easy to appreciate 9ja men because we dey overdo. The same thing a 9ja babe will tell you "anyway, thanks sha"
My Team and I did wonderfully well on our first Team sprint presentation on a Budget Planning App. We received positive feedback from the panel. Thank you @TIIDELab for the wonderful opportunity ☺️
