@SenTomCotton It doesn’t matter how you want to define a government, as long as it serves the people. Chinese people, in general, are happy with their government and with the direction the country is going.
@MarioNawfal What do you think? U.S. aircraft carriers are the best in the world and have been operating smoothly for years, so why do accidents and fires suddenly happen during wartime?
@Eivor_Koy The general public in America and in China are not on the same level. Americans, in general, do not understand the world outside of America.
@goddek You’re so wrong! This is one of the most damaging things the U.S. has done to its reputation. Other countries may be quiet, but they are not blind. China has no interest in using force to reunify with Taiwan unless Taiwan explicitly seeks independence.
@Deee_luul China is not foolish; it understands that without sufficient military strength to defend itself against foreign powers like the United States, it cannot protect its own growth. That is why it developed nuclear weapons—to safeguard its economic interests.
@Deee_luul Chinese people are very practical and strategic, and they are more focused on strengthening their economy. If war doesn’t bring any economic value, why go to war? America under Trump, on the other hand, tends to emphasize showing strength, even when it involves war.

@AngelicaOung I find that most Chinese nationals have a better understanding of the world than the average American. They can see through many of the issues and hypocrisies, and they often view things from a humanitarian standpoint.
@AngelicaOung@charlesxjyang I’ve been to China four times in the past two years, and to Taiwan twice. Taipei feels more like a second- or third-tier city in China.
@thinking_panda If a “collapsed” economy looks like this—skyscrapers, advanced infrastructure, high-speed rail, clean and safe streets, and affordable food and housing—sign me up.
@thinking_panda Interestingly, I find the US government trying to copy what China has been doing successfully, but it will fail miserably due to poor execution. It takes years of planning, preparation, and the right culture to make it work.
