having a man who is dominant but soft when it comes to u is TOP TIER. Like he's masculine but literally worships the ground u walk on. He gets things done without asking, reassures u randomly, clingy & obsessed with u, talks to u in a gentle tone & brings out ur softest version
Notice how "girls mature faster" is never stated as a reason to why girls should be given more positions of power and authority? It only works to hold girls to greater accountability than boys and to justify men's attraction to them.
@Chime#WhyIChime b/c getting your paycheck 2 days earlier is top tier but having a (penalty free) safety net when life gets rough is next level. Chime secured card has taken my credit higher on every day purchases. The referral rewards are always generous & the prime perks are elite.👀
I didn’t call my husband crying.
I called him angry.
It was 11:47 PM. I was sitting on the kitchen floor, laptop open, staring at an email that said my contract wasn’t being renewed. Just like that. Two years of overtime, weekends, skipped holidays — gone in one paragraph.
When he answered, I didn’t even say hello. “I lost my job.”
Silence. Not the awkward kind. The steady kind.
He said, “Okay. I’m coming home.”
He was on a night shift. I told him not to. I said I didn’t want him to risk it. I said I was fine.
He said, “You’re not.”
Twenty minutes later, I heard the door.
He didn’t try to fix it. Didn’t start giving solutions. Didn’t say, “You’ll find something better.” Didn’t minimize it.
He just sat on the floor with me.
He ordered food because he knew I hadn’t eaten. He closed my laptop because he knew I’d keep rereading the email. He made a list the next morning not of jobs for me but of bills he could cover alone “for as long as it takes.”
The next week, I found out he had quietly moved money from his personal savings into our joint account.
Not because I asked.
Because he anticipated.
Months later, when I apologized for being “a burden,” he looked genuinely confused.
“We’re married,” he said. “There is no yours and mine when things fall apart. There’s just us.”
That’s when I understood something about marriage.
It’s not about who plans the best anniversary or posts the sweetest captions.
It’s about who sits on the kitchen floor with you when your world collapses.
It’s about who absorbs your panic without adding their own.
It’s about who turns “your problem” into “our plan.”
Marriage isn’t loud.
It’s steady.
And when it’s real, you don’t have to beg someone to show up.
They already grabbed their keys.
Sometimes I accidentally accept the bare minimum trying to be considerate of what others are going through and that’s a habit I need to let go of expeditiously.
breakups hurt but you know what really fucking hurts? trying to “make it work” with someone who has proven to you time and time again that they do not give a fuck about your feelings. that hurts.
@hell_line0 The years spent trying to cultivate something with someone who couldn’t seem to grow into their full potential despite how much you poured into them… until you realize they could have.. they just refused to.
most women aren't crying over the man. they're crying over themselves. the effort they gave, the hope they held, the delusion they fell for, & the reminder that love hasn't rewarded them back.
An emotionally sensitive person feels EVERYTHING: nuance, shifts in tone, unspoken motives, the moment trust fractures. Betrayal doesn’t just hurt them socially or mentally, it hits their nervous system, their body, their sense of reality. And yet… they still choose not to harden. That’s the part people underestimate.
Sensitivity is high-resolution perception. Anyone can be tough by becoming numb. It takes unmatched strength to remain open, discerning, and loving after being betrayed.
Sometimes your goodness reminds people of how messed up they are, so they paint you as the bad guy to avoid taking accountability for how they treated you.
