No, it’s that many of us became very aware of what “trans” meant in real life when we saw it up close and personal.
It meant men in womens sports.
It meant men in womens locker rooms.
It meant men in womens prisons.
It meant teaching children to ignore very real dangers.
It meant little girls rooming with boys and grown men in school trips.
It meant sterilizing and castrating children.
It meant normalizing fetishistic men.
It meant men in womens rape crisis centers who were getting off on hearing womens suffering.
It meant schools keeping secrets from parents.
It meant families being torn apart.
It meant speech being confused and then controlled.
It meant the world was going insane.
On a hillside this summer, a man will pay good money to take the coat off a sheep, then watch that coat earn him almost nothing at all.
This is the wool trade now. A thing his great grandfather built a life on, worn down to a chore he runs at a loss.
So look at the maths square in the face. It costs him around two pounds to shear one ewe. The fleece that comes off her, even now, in the best year for a decade, brings back about a pound and a half if she is a fine crossbred. If she is a hill sheep, a Welsh Mountain or a Swaledale, he might get thirty pence for the whole fleece. British Wool says the price would have to nearly double again just to cover the shearing.
So every sheep he clips, he loses on. And he has to clip every one.
A sheep left in her fleece overheats, cannot walk right, and gets eaten alive by maggots. The wool has to come off, for her sake, whatever it is worth. He pays, quite literally, for the privilege of being kind to his own animals.
Now feel the weight of what we have let go.
Wool once made this country rich. Whole towns were built on the back of it, and the great wool churches still standing across the Cotswolds were paid for with it. To this day the Lord Speaker of the House of Lords sits on a woolsack, set there centuries ago so nobody in the room would forget where England's wealth came from.
A fleece was worth fourteen pounds a kilo in the 1950s. The wool cheque, in his father's day, paid the rent for the year.
Today it will not cover the diesel to deliver it.
And so, in farmyards across the country, men who would rather not are quietly burning the fleeces off their own sheep, because a fire is cheaper than the trip to the depot. A material so fine that a kingdom was built on it, going up in smoke in the yard because nobody will pay a pound for it.
And what did we reach for instead. Plastic. Most of our clothes are now spun from oil, polyester and acrylic and nylon, shedding tiny threads into the sea with every wash, into the fish, into our own blood. It will not rot for generations.
So here we stand. A fibre that grows back every spring on nothing but grass and rain, that warms a child and then feeds the soil when its work is done, burning unwanted in a field.
While we dress ourselves, head to foot, in the very oil it was meant to spare us.
The sheep on that hill is still growing the finest coat in the world. We simply stopped being worthy of it.
Our politicians and police say two-tier justice doesn't exist. Oh really? ⬇️
The man on the left, Afsar Safi, a migrant from Afghanistan aged 30, kidnapped a 7 yr old girl and sexually assaulted her. He got 2.5 years in prison and is expected to be out on licence after having served just 6 months.
The man on the right, Reece Robinson, a British man aged 21, has just been fast tracked through the courts for throwing stones at the Southampton protests. He got 2 years.
How is this even remotely acceptable?
We are being gaslit beyond belief.
Shouldn't the FF justice minister Jim O'Callaghan be making a statement on the Sudanese suspect in the Belfast attack?
When did he fly from Paris to Dublin? On what documentation? Was the airline issued with a €2500 fine (as pertained then, it was increased to €5k in 2024) for failing to check documentation while BOARDING in Paris? Did he seek asylum in Dublin? Where did he live?
And could Jim also give us an update on Khalil Ahmed (24), the Irish citizen detained in Britain in March 2026 under terrorism laws after being found with a large cache of guns and ammunition. When was Ahmed granted Irish citizenship? When did he live in Ireland and where? Is Ireland cooperating with Britain in the investigation.
And finally, could Jim tell us about the 19-year old detained by Gardai three weeks ago as part of a major British prosecution of an Afghan child grooming gang in Norfolk, England. Who is the 19-year old? Where was he living in Ireland and when? The extradition returns to the High Court this morning where a Pushto translator will be attending.
A six year old girl was in her home during a domestic incident. Police were called. A uniformed officer arrived to help.
That officer, PC Dean Dempster, took her away from his colleagues to take her statement. And then he sexually assaulted her.
When his devices were seized the next day.. thousands of images of children being abused. Over 100 at the most serious level. Children's underwear at his home. His own face superimposed onto child abuse images.
He spent the night after assaulting her deleting evidence from his phone.
Nine years. Sex offenders register for life.
A six year old girl called the police for help and was abused by one of the officers who showed up... 🤦🏻♀️😵💫
How are parents supposed to explain that to their children and why are we still acting surprised when predators actively seek out roles that give them access? #police #Fail #awareness #predator #share
NHS SENT A DOCTOR A £180,000 BILL FOR REPORTING A PATIENT DEATH
A heart patient died at an NHS hospital. A doctor said it was avoidable. Nobody told the coroner.
That doctor was Dr Usha Prasad, the only female consultant cardiologist at Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust.
She raised the alarm. She named it. She refused to stay quiet.
So the trust built a case against her. Forty-three clinical complaints, assembled and handed to the GMC to finish her off.
An independent cardiologist reviewed every single one. He found nothing wrong.
The GMC cleared her and revalidated her licence to practise.
The trust had thrown everything at her and come back empty-handed.
And then... they sent her a bill. Not just any bill. A £180,000 costs demand, which would be the largest ever imposed on a whistleblower at a UK employment tribunal.
Costs are awarded against claimants in fewer than 1 in 2,000 tribunal cases.
Dr Prasad apparently made the cut.
The former CEO reportedly offered her a deal: walk away, drop the whistleblowing claim, and he would make the disciplinary process disappear.
She said no.
What followed was years of hearings, cancelled proceedings, and a consultant so mentally broken by the process that she sometimes could not attend her own case.
Her colleagues described her as skilled, patient-centred, and well-liked. Nobody questioned her ability until the moment she questioned the trust.

Just when I think California’s political class cannot push further to the edge on gender policy, it manages to surprise me.
Senate Bill 934 just cleared the Assembly Judiciary Committee 7-3 along party lines. It would allow former "gender conversion therapy" patients to sue their therapists for monetary damages — with a statute of limitations of 22 years if the patient was a minor at the time of therapy, and 10 years for adults.
The real-world effect? Exactly what Sen. Scott Wiener, the bill's author, wants: a total chilling effect on "watchful waiting" — the careful, evidence-based approach most appropriate for gender-confused minors. Therapists will rush kids into the medical pipeline rather than risk a lawsuit two decades later for practicing... traditional psychotherapy.
Clinical psychologist Joseph Burgo said it plainly at Tuesday's committee hearing: "In supervising therapists today, I constantly hear their anxiety over their legal exposures or risks to their license if they do just that — practice traditional exploratory psychotherapy. These are not conversion therapists. These are honest clinicians who want to practice traditional psychotherapy with gender-distressed young people, but they're afraid to do so."
This Senate Bill will now bake that fear into the law. This isn't protecting vulnerable kids. It's using the legal system to enforce a single medically contested ideology on every therapist in the state, under penalty of ruinous litigation. And it will hurt the children it claims to protect.
For fuck's sake, @TheNorthernEcho.
This is not about a poor, depressed man. It's about a murdering fucking bastard of a man.
Why are you framing the man's depression as the salient issue, rather than the murdering fucking bastard part?
You seem to want us to feel sorry for the murderer, rather than his victim.
Over 100 MPs - including more than 50 Labour politicians - have signed a parliamentary motion calling for the removal of women's rights, and demanding that women be forced to accept fetishistic men in spaces where they undress.
This is a male athlete who was lifting in the men's division. If he wants to wear his hair in pigtails with pink scrunchies, that's fine. And it looks like he was able to do so without an issue.
Gender nonconforming men should be welcomed in the men's division.
A study from 1988 found that 54% of sex killers investigated were transvestites.
Other studies have found a transvestism rate of 40% among sexually sadistic murderers, a “high frequency of…gender dysphoria in sexual homicide perpetrators,” and a clear link between dysphoria and sadism.
Western law enforcement as a whole is doing its best to forget this, but the fact is that there is a good reason why we as a society feel negatively about men who crossdress. At the absolute least, a male crossdresser who violates women’s spaces is providing cover for some of society’s most dangerous predators.
Worst of all are those jurisdictions which hire trans-identifying officers. No one with a mental health condition that comes with a 41% chance of attempting suicide has any business carrying a gun at all, much less be placed in a high-pressure position of authority where lives may depend upon their ability to make good decisions in a crisis. If you can be thrown into suicidal despair or into a rage by a “misgendering,” the last thing you need is to deal with the public from a position of authority.
The war against women & mothers continues in Ireland. It was ever thus!
The Irish Times states
“If you have given birth in one of the State’s maternity hospitals, the Irish Times would like to hear you.”
So far so good.
But then…
“Much has been written about the choice between public & private care that expectant parents face.”
The words mother & women are avoided.
Maternity care exists to provide medical services to WOMEN, the half of the human race who conceive, carry & give birth to new generations.
Why are women being erased from our own stories & experiences? WHO is calling for this?
These words belong to us. Mother, woman, girl, sister, aunt, grandmother.
Keep your hands off our words.
European citizens were shocked to find out last year that the EU was instructing member states to allow children to change their legal sex markers. Many didn't even realise that this is already allowed in a number of countries already.
Why didn't they know? Because #NoDebate. Now @ILGAEurope want people to know about the laws they lobbied for in secret, because the ball is rolling and nobody can stop it. @khugendubel
The little girl (then 5, now 8) cannot sleep. She cannot talk. She blinks to communicate. She got to use her voice for all of 3 or 4 years of her life before it was stolen. She cannot articulate a single word of her trauma and therefore heal, at least psychologically. Perhaps he stalks her in her dreams. She is trapped in her own mind. No way to share her worries, memories, dreams or thoughts of any kind. Her tears must be silent too. Her laughter as well. If indeed she laughs any more. She has to be sedated at times.
If all this isn't enough for you to say "enough" then I am afraid you are both inhuman and inhumane. She is just a little child. This was done to her because of the government and because of a grown man's minor grievance. A man who never should have been here. A man who still requires an interpreter after 26 years. A man who was reported to have seemed "cheerful" and "jocular" when it was put to him that what he did was gravely serious. He has shown no remorse. The victims and family are subjected to a trial. Not that the child can ever give testimony. 40 mins deprived of oxygen to the brain will produce that effect. Will silence your voice. Potentially forever.
More than 100 academics have urged the University of Oxford to reinstate a lecture series that was cancelled after protests from trans activists.
In the letter, published in The Times on Thursday, they wrote: “It appears that the university proctors authorised and facilitated protests inside the lecture theatre and did nothing to remove miscreants."
