Kiwi chicks first night out, still a little unsteady but this was filmed a week ago. Dad hatched 2 chicks 2 weeks apart and dad is still fussing over the younger one. This is on my neighbours place.
i don't get why people seems so incapable of conceiving characters who have good heart but occasionally are evil, selfish, hypocrites, and do the wrong things, don't you realize how boring fiction would be if every character was unproblematic and good from the very first word.
I think the main reason why majority of people can’t actually enjoy nuance in media anymore is because they self insert into these characters and want the characters to act like they would instead of actually looking at the context.
sometimes you ship things not bc you want the characters to be happy together or bc they'd be a great fit, but bc it would be funny as hell. happiness is entirely optional and in fact, the more nightmareish it is for one or both parties involved, the better
People don't have CURIOSITY about things anymore. Nothing interests them.
Capitalism made people addicted to algorithm, numbers and superficial fake acknowledgement. They want to be their own celebrity, not to engage and connect to other people and what they create.
It's sad.
I find something strangely profound about how polar bears always have this look of boyish innocence to them no matter what the context is. Even covered in the blood of his prey, the bear looks like a silly little guy. Much to learn.

It's cause adults know protective measures to curtail spread (washing hands after cough/sneeze, cover mouth or nose if cough/sneeze, mask up etc). Kids have not internalize or know this, so they hit you with all that raw
