Never thought about this before, it’s worth reading it:

I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark.

But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm. Let's read what Gen 7:16 says ... "The animals going in were male and female of every living thing as God had commanded Noah... THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN....

Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The Lord sealed them inside."

It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you.

I learned in September 2014 that Black people could infact own the bank if they worked together, since then not a day went by without me saying “we shall own the bank” and without the YWBN TEAM and YWBN CFI shareholders working towards registering the bank.

We had many detractors, who went as far as using state owned entities to attack BUT we stood firm, blocked the noise and focused on the end goal.

It gives me so much pleasure that after 9 years I finally get to say WE OWN THE BANK!!

It was worth the 9 years WAIT!

In January 2009, I left formal employment, I said goodbye to comfort, stability and a guaranteed monthly salary sms notification.

I set up an office in my 2 bedroom flat. I bought a printer, laptop, Neotel line and a notebook, that’s all I had. No website, just a free gmail account, Vodacom power hour and night shift.

I pitched my idea to the bosses at Glocell but was told my idea is too early for the market instead they offered to recruit me to work for them, I politely told them I would work for them if they pay me R100 000 after all deductions, they refused my counter offer😂🤣.

It’s 15 years later, I’m glad I took a chance on me and capabilities, if I hadn’t left formal employment I would have not known that I’m capable of even thinking it’s possible to register a Bank in South Africa.
