Today, on National Truth and Reconciliation day, we take a moment to reflect and remember all the children who never made it home🧡
Thank you to all those who participated in our round dance yesterday, those who made banners, and to Ms. Bernier’s class for the wonderful song #wsd
Today we were so lucky to have @AceBurpeeShow from @VirginRadioWPG read to us! He read us “A Bear Like Me” by Varina Penner, sang us some of his songs and discussed bears, Bally, hot dogs and Encanto! We had so much fun listening to you Ace, thanks again for hanging out! #wsd
Room 32 was excited to host @Mayor_Bowman today during our ELA class! We discussed our essays comparing remote learning to in person learning, and Mr. Bowman had some kind words about teachers/students to share. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit!! @WinnipegSD
Our grade 6/7 students are learning about Flight! For a homework project, they had to create a parachute that would have the most drag and thus the longest drop time. Winning parachute took 9.45 seconds to drop from the second floor to the basement! Great job Room 32! #wsd
EDUCATORS and LIBRARIANS: do your students like graphic novels?
I’m giving away 2 class sets (25 copies each) of my new one, The Hunger Heroes: Missed Meal Mayhem (here and on Instagram)!
To enter: RT this tweet and follow me. Bonus entry: tag a pal who might like to enter too!
Great job to the Grade 5/6 students at @IsaacBrockWSD who participated in the #CPAWSLitterCleanup! The students also created a mini-documentary, posters to put up around their school, and a written piece to summarize their week of learning. Amazing work!
