I've had some people come to me about the recent talks of all these new and somewhat random announcement of newer sleeve companies popping up nowadays, and how it's interesting seeing some similarities overlap. So I figured I'd give some of the history of DuelSpec and bring newer people who are recently discovering the brand, up to speed on who we are!

Over the past 5 years I've helped DuelSpec grow into an internationally recognized name, but it all started in Austin, TX where both myself and the Owner were living at the time.

Back then DuelSpec was 'Sentinel' as many OG supporters remember, and was only in 2 stores TOTAL(1 in Austin 1, in San Antonio). When I discovered them at a PTCG Regional, I became instantly dedicated to having other players share my overtly positive experience using these sleeves, that I started my journey traveling across the country to let others try them out and to work with more stores.

Through my deep connection with the PTCG community I developed over time, comes the rapid growth and recognition of DuelSpec after the name was updated. To some it was a new company but to those who stuck around, Y'all knew that we stayed committed to providing a high quality product with exceptional feel and durability, and stayed true on always seeking improvement through direct feedback. Since the start, DuelSpec has now landed in all 3 countries of North America, with stores in LATAM and EU beginning to stock up and countless players across the globe showing their support and faith in the product that's been around for years.

Within the last 3 years we really honed in on our specifications and formulas, while introducing NEW products to provide for all types of player preferences. DuelSpec XD, DuelSpec Pros, and DuelSpec Halo Art Sleeves (and the introduction of Japanese Sized versions of all these products) were products of love and were results of the faith we had in the community we wanted to provide for. AND WE GOT MORE COMING

I knew that with such an innovative take on TCG Sleeves at the beginning, we naturally needed to push hard to really standout when ultimately we would eventually run into imitators or people trying to duplicate what DuelSpec established and what people have told us they look for in a sleeve over the years. Some may come close but you'll never get a true 1:1 equal of all the elements that have gone into developing DuelSpec: Size, Material, Durability, Shuffle Feel etc. We continue to create and Dev new things to share with every community so everyone can get exactly what they're looking for in a sleeve. None of our products were picked from default settings, and every piece that goes into the final product is created separately from different origins, so you will NEVER have a completely identical experience with any other brand. From the creation of the sleeve to the creation of the boxes they come in. Most companies will have it all done in one place, but that's not the case for DuelSpec, nor do we plan for it to be.

If anyone tells you that something is exactly the same, here's the truth: That has never been possible, has not been or will ever be the case.

TLDR: DuelSpec has been around the block for years, always pushing for innovation and new ways to accommodate every player. From the local hero to the Worlds competitor we got your back. The tenure and history behind the brand has stood through industry competition and we will continue our pursuit to dethrone anyone in our way, and I'm grateful for the people who stayed loyal to the idea that we'll ALWAYS be here for you on your competitive journey while providing unmatched customer service. And if you run into any brand that may feel or look similar, have confidence that with DuelSpec you're getting the product that started the New Era of Competitive TCG Sleeves for Standard and Japanese Sized card play, and we're going to continue on no matter what obstacles come up! Just like so many people I was tired of blowing money and stressing over awful inconsistency from the much larger more planted brands(not naming, y'all already know who). The consistency was so bad it literally turns players away from playing, while also being met with terrible customer service to correct the issue. and THAT'S THE REAL PROBLEM.

I worked tirelessly every day for years, DRIVEN OVER 200k MILES TO EVENTS across the country, partnered with amazing players, creators and stores and I'm telling you now I'm not going to stop. I know I say this all the time but I really mean it; Thank ALL of you who stuck through over the years, and "HOWDY!" to all those who are new to the brand.
