Just got an email saying the appeal for my channel DEEN STORIES TV is final and that my videos are being treated as “shocking or disturbing” under the Unsatisfying or off-putting policy.

I’m still struggling to understand this. These are 40–60 minute authentic historical documentaries. Every video tells a completely different story with different research, different figures, and different context. I spend weeks studying real books, write the full script myself, and edit everything by hand. I only upload once a month because each video takes that much work.

This is the complete opposite of AI channels that post dozens of similar videos every day just for views. Anyone who simply watches the public videos on the channel can clearly see the real effort and educational value, not something made to shock or manipulate viewers. The comments on every video on my channel also show that people appreciate the research and depth in each documentary. I even made a full appeal video explaining my entire process.

I fully support YouTube removing real off-putting and low-effort content. But treating genuine, carefully made educational documentaries the same way just doesn’t feel right.

Please can a real human review the channel and the appeal video?

honestly, this is exactly how it SHOULD work.

You're 100% right. AI can flag something for review, but a human being should ALWAYS check those recommendations before any action is taken. Especially when it comes to educational and historical content. A bot cannot understand context, intention, or weeks of work behind a documentary.

We have zero shock content. No clickbait. No sensationalism. Just authentic history, And yet we got flagged as "shocking and disturbing" without a single human ever watching our work.

It has been nearly a month since our channel was demonetized on July 14th, and we are still trapped in an endless support loop. Is this really how YouTube treats genuine creators who pour weeks of manual work into educational content?

Here is what we’ve been dealing with for weeks:

DMs tell us to go to Email Support.

Email Support sends a template saying frontline agents have zero power to help and to just wait 90 days.

Our channel DEEN STORIES TV creates 40–60 minute, deeply researched historical documentaries. We spend an entire month reading authentic history texts, writing original scripts, and hand-editing every single video. We only upload once a month because of the heavy research involved.

Yet an automated bot flagged our channel as "shocking or disturbing" and "unsatisfying content." We do not make cheap clickbait, violence, or automated AI slop. Our content is respectful, academic history.

Telling an educational creator to wait 90 days without giving a single timestamp or example makes it impossible to know what the bot even flagged. If there is a specific historical scene, image, or narration you feel is too intense, tell us—we will gladly edit, blur, or remove it immediately.

Please, can a real human specialist manually review our channel instead of keeping us stuck in this automated loop?

My channel DEEN STORIES TV was demonetized for “Unsatisfying or off-putting content” and my appeal was rejected without any real human review.

I completely support YouTube’s effort against low-effort AI slop and templated videos. That’s why this decision feels especially unfair.

My documentaries are sincere, deeply researched historical stories the exact opposite of what the policy targets. I spend weeks studying authentic sources like Tarikh Ibn Kathir, Qasas ul-Anbiya, and Tafsir Ibn Kathir.

Every script is written by me from scratch. I manually build every scene in CapCut with hundreds of custom cuts and hand-placed sound design.

If I was making low-effort or recycled content, I could easily upload every week but I only release once a month because of the heavy research and editing work. I even appear on camera in outros so viewers know a real person stands behind the content.

Anyone who simply visits my channel can immediately see the difference. The audience comments also clearly show how much value and effort goes into each video.

Is this how genuine creators who pour their heart into educational content are treated the same as actual off-putting AI slop? I respectfully request a proper human review of my channel and restoration of monetization so I can continue creating meaningful content. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Thank you for the response. We have replied to your DM, but we wanted to clarify the situation here as well: the DM unfortunately just directs us back to the email support thread.
The problem is that the email support channel is only providing a final template rejection, leaving us with no option for a real human assessment through that loop. Simply replying to that thread just triggers the same automated system responses over and over.
Since a real human is reading this thread right now, could you please internally escalate our case to a senior supervisor or a human specialist who can manually look at our channel and watch our workflow appeal video? We are fully transparent, we care deeply about compliance, and we just want a fair evaluation. Thank you so much for your understanding and guidance.
