Everyone knows what's right and what's wrong but the taufeeq of walking on the right path is given by Allah (swt).
"You surely cannot guide whoever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are ˹fit to be˺ guided." (Quran 28:56)
It is an etiquette to accept the invitation when given. Honour the host as well as the guests by maintaining relations and friendships. Everyone is a blessing from Allah (swt) so keep good company and uphold the etiquettes that we know from the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Ibn Umar (RA) narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Accept the invitation when you are offered."

There is no extremism in Islam, it is the middle way. The Prophet (SAW) set an example for us to follow and we should not deviate from that nor invent additional acts of worship that take us into the faith in a way that is not from him. Learning Islam is a lifelong journey.
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: "The Parable of myself and that of my Ummah is that of a man who kindled a fire, and the flies and moths began flying into it - and I am trying to prevent you from diving into it."
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2874, Book 44, Hadith 17)
