Several innovations we built for AI fiction writing.
DeepCrafter is not just designed to generate text.
It is built to help creators shape stories with structure, revision, character depth, relationship memory, and AI self-checking.
Here are a few features we think make AI storytelling to the next level:
DeepCrafter v2.16.0 is live.
The big one: Insights — discover writing articles by topic, explore related reads, and follow via RSS.
Also new:

7/ In AI Create, give the next passage one job: "The seller requests compensation; the bureau must preserve its perfect record. Escalate the existing rule, not the narrator's sarcasm."
Judge the result: did the incentive reveal itself, or did the prose merely sneer?
A town pays forecasters only for sunny days. Soon, storms become "unscheduled hydration."
The joke has a target: rewarding pleasant reports over useful truth.
Creator Guide #144: write satire by following a bad incentive, not by adding snark.

6/ Build the voice in DeepCrafter.
On eligible plans, a custom AI Master can specify humor and prose principles. Try: "Use earnest official language. Never wink at the reader. Let practical consequences contradict the claims."
That is a brief, not a satire preset.
7/ In DeepCrafter, ask AI Master’s advice about syntax and narrative clarity on one passage. Request competing readings, not an automatic rewrite.
Check each suggestion against your intended event, then use Manual Editing for the exact repair. Read it in context.
“Nora caught Inez as she fell.”
Who fell? If the reader has to solve the sentence, they stop experiencing the scene.
Creator Guide #143: repair accidental ambiguity without flattening your prose. Keep motives mysterious; make actions legible.

6/ Protect intentional uncertainty.
Readers may not know why Inez fell: illness, fear, or a shove. They should still know whose body Nora catches.
Ask a fresh reader to paraphrase the physical event. A wrong motive may be intrigue; a wrong actor may be syntax.
