Catherine Austin Fitts was a cabinet official in the first Bush administration before she went off the deep end.

Quick resume. Wharton MBA. First woman ever promoted to managing director at Dillon Read, in the firm's 156 year history. Bush 41 appointed her Assistant Secretary of Housing in 1989, running a $300 billion mortgage insurance portfolio staffed by exactly one certified actuary.

After HUD she founded Hamilton Securities and built Community Wizard, software that mapped federal spending by zip code. The maps showed mortgage securities issued against properties that did not appear to exist on the ground. In 1996 HUD canceled her contract. In 1998 DOJ agents raided her offices and destroyed the software. Eleven years of federal investigation produced zero findings of wrongdoing.

Then she wrote down what she thinks is actually going on. The short version:

1. A financial coup d'etat. Since the mid 1990s the U.S. Treasury and the federal credit system have been systematically looted by a public-private partnership of New York Fed member banks, defense contractors, and intelligence agencies.

2. HUD and the Pentagon are the laundromat. Ginnie Mae securities, defense supplementals, and unsupported journal voucher adjustments are the mechanism. Her 2017 study with Michigan State economist Mark Skidmore documented $21 trillion in unaccounted spending at DOD and HUD between 1998 and 2015. Skidmore's follow up work now puts the figure above $35 trillion.

3. The 9/11 timing matters. Donald Rumsfeld announced $2.3 trillion missing from the Pentagon on September 10, 2001. The next morning a plane hit the Pentagon's accounting wing.

4. The Going Direct Reset is the cover story. In August 2019 a paper authored by former central bankers and presented at Jackson Hole proposed bypassing commercial banks and injecting central bank liquidity directly into the real economy. Six months later COVID arrived. That policy went live.

5. Programmable central bank digital currency, paired with digital ID and AI driven surveillance, is the endgame. Once the unit of account is programmable, dissent is a switch on a dashboard.

6. There is a breakaway civilization. The missing money built it. Underground facilities, classified aerospace, biotechnology platforms operating entirely outside any public consent framework.

She is either a paranoid heretic or the most credentialed financial whistleblower of the last forty years. The Pentagon still cannot pass an audit.

Maybe he's just acting, but this sounds like a visit from The Men in Black. He says the people 'seem like zombies', which fits the Men in Black lore.

The Men in Black are a strange part of UFO phenomenon. Most ufology focuses on the craft. The visitors who show up at witnesses' doors hours after a sighting are the part nobody can fit into a clean theory.

The 'zombie' read is the recurring phenotype across canonical cases from 1947 to today. Witnesses keep describing the same person:

That's the secret unit at Gitmo where the CIA dumped its high-value detainees after the black sites - Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Zubaydah, Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Mustafa al-Hawsawi. KSM was waterboarded 183 times by the CIA. Abu Zubaydah 83 times, plus the coffin box. The Senate Intelligence Committee's 2014 report called the program ineffective and said the CIA had repeatedly lied to Congress, the White House, and Justice about both the methods and the results.

Elizondo's own Congressional testimony bio and the Wikipedia entry both say it plainly: he "ran military intelligence operations in Afghanistan, South America, and the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and its Camp Seven." His 2024 memoir Imminent confirms it from his side. Reviewer Jason Colavito called the Gitmo chapter "a bizarrely proud confession that as torture czar at Guantanamo Bay he committed what sound a lot like war crimes." Lue also describes using a military remote viewing team to enter a detainee's dreams as "five angels" trying to coerce confession. He claims the detainee told his lawyer about the dream after. Nobody can find the article he says ran about it.

The rest of the pre-UAP resume: enlisted Army 1995, recruited as a civilian intel officer in 1998, post-9/11 Afghanistan ops under James Mattis, anti-terror missions against al-Qaeda Hezbollah and ISIS, then Special Agent in Charge for DOD, ONCIX, ODNI, and finally OUSDI managing a Special Access Program for the White House and the NSC. The 2017 disclosure pivot sits on top of 22 years of that.

Family backstory worth knowing: his dad Luis Elizondo III was a Brigade 2506 volunteer, the CIA-trained Cuban exile force that ran the Bay of Pigs landing in 1961. Per page 27 of Imminent, his dad trained him as a kid for Alpha 66, which Lue calls "a slightly rebranded Brigade 2506."

None of this disqualifies his UAP claims. It just sharpens the framing. The "credible career intelligence officer" line in every mainstream profile is doing a lot of work.

Spielberg definitely knows things.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 1977. The Department of Defense refused to cooperate with the production. Officials told Columbia Pictures they did not want the government to appear to be endorsing the UFO narrative. Spielberg made the film anyway.

The opening sequence is the recovery of Flight 19, the five Navy Avengers that vanished off Florida in December 1945. That mythology was codified in Charles Berlitz's 1974 bestseller The Bermuda Triangle. Three years after Close Encounters, Berlitz co-wrote The Roswell Incident with William Moore, the book that put Roswell back into the American conversation after 33 years of silence.

The title comes from J. Allen Hynek's 1972 classification system. Hynek was the Air Force's scientific consultant to Project Blue Book who turned advocate. He served as on-set technical consultant and appears in the final landing sequence.

The man who pushed through the 1968 Unification of the Canadian Armed Forces, merging the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army, and RCAF into one Canadian Armed Forces (Canadian Forces Reorganization Act, effective Feb 1, 1968). Minister of Transport 1967 to 1969 under Pierre Trudeau. Longest-serving member of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada at his death, just ahead of Prince Philip.

Other than UFOs, he’s never displayed signs of insanity.

September 25, 2005: at the University of Toronto symposium 'Exopolitics: Toronto,' he became the first serving or former cabinet-rank minister of a G8 nation to publicly state on the record that UFOs are real. He was 82. He cited Lt. Col. Philip Corso's 'The Day After Roswell' as one of the books that convinced him.

His main on-the-record claims across 2005 to 2018:

The default explanation of watergate never made sense to me.🧐Richard Nixon was acting alone and secretly installed recording equipment no one else knew about? And then used it to incriminate himself hiring goons for an office breakin???

Here is the conventional story.

February 1971: Nixon orders a voice-activated taping system installed in the Oval Office, the Cabinet Room, his Executive Office Building hideaway, and at Camp David. It records every word automatically. The list of people who knew it existed is short: Nixon, chief of staff H.R. Haldeman, deputy assistant Alexander Butterfield, personal secretary Rose Mary Woods, and the Secret Service agents who installed it.

June 17, 1972: Five men are arrested at 2:30 AM inside Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex. They are carrying bugging equipment, cameras, and sequentially numbered hundred dollar bills. Address books tie them to E. Howard Hunt and a White House phone number. Their security coordinator is James McCord, a 19 year CIA veteran also working as head of security for Nixon's re election committee.

June 23, 1972 (the smoking gun tape): Nixon tells Haldeman to have the CIA pressure the FBI to drop the investigation by invoking 'the whole Bay of Pigs thing.' That conversation, captured on a system Nixon installed himself, is what eventually forces him out.

July 13, 1973: Butterfield casually reveals the system's existence to Senate Watergate Committee staff. The country learns the recordings exist. Nixon refuses to hand them over, loses 8 to 0 at the Supreme Court (US v Nixon, July 24, 1974). The smoking gun tape is released August 5. He resigns August 9, 1974. Gerald Ford pardons him a month later.

The June 20, 1972 tape, where Nixon and Haldeman first discussed the break in, has an 18 and a half minute buzzing erasure where the conversation should be. Rose Mary Woods said she stretched to answer a phone and accidentally erased it. A forensic panel of six experts concluded the erasure involved at least five separate deliberate operations.

So the official story is: a sitting president personally engineered a third rate burglary, lied about it, ran a system that automatically recorded every word of him doing it, fought to keep that system secret, and was eventually brought down by his own tapes. Six of the seven indicted operatives were ex CIA. The man who revealed the taping system was an Air Force colonel from the Pentagon liaison office. The man leaking the cover up was the FBI's number two, who had just been passed over for Director.
