Before the Albanian resort there was 666 Fifth Avenue. Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner's father, met Qatar's finance minister Ali Sharif Al Emadi at the St. Regis in New York in April 2017, three months into his son's White House job, to ask for money for the family's tower.

The tower is why the Kushners spent two years courting foreign governments. They had bought 666 Fifth Avenue in January 2007 for $1.8 billion, a record for a single U.S. office building, with $500 million of their own money and a $1.2 billion mortgage coming due in February 2019. Through 2015 and 2016 Charles and Jared negotiated with Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani, Qatar's former prime minister, who agreed to put in $500 million through his firm Al Mirqab if they could raise the rest. A Chinese insurer, Anbang, was to supply $400 million until that deal collapsed in March 2017 as a conflict of interest, and the Qatari condition went unmet. Tom Barrack, Trump's inaugural chairman, told the Washington Post that Charles was 'crushed.'

That spring Charles went back for more. The St. Regis meeting ran about 30 minutes, with a follow-up the next day in a conference room inside 666 Fifth itself, and Charles acknowledged it only in March 2018, after The Intercept reported it, telling the Post: 'Even if they were ready to wire the money, we would not have taken it.' Six weeks after the meeting, Saudi Arabia and the UAE blockaded Qatar, Trump took credit for it, and The Intercept reported that Jared had pushed the hard line.

In August 2018 Brookfield Asset Management signed a 99-year lease on the tower and paid the whole term up front, about $1.1 billion, through a subsidiary whose second-largest investor was Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. Reuters later reported that Doha learned of the deal from the press. In December 2022 Senate Finance chairman Ron Wyden and House Oversight chairwoman Carolyn Maloney opened an inquiry into whether Jared 'advised former President Donald Trump to support a blockade against Qatar while Kushner Companies was seeking a billion-dollar bailout from Qatar.'

Jacob Engels, the Orlando blogger now at war with Roger Stone, is the man Stone named under oath in 2019 as the only person he was certain had the password to his Instagram account, the one that had just posted Judge Amy Berman Jackson's face beside crosshairs. They met in 2013.

The password testimony came at a show-cause hearing on February 21, 2019, a month after Stone's arrest. Asked who ran his social media, Stone said five or six volunteers worked out of his house, "like a headquarters," and named two of them in one breath: "Jacob Engles, Enrique Tarrio." Asked who had his phone the day of the crosshairs post, he said Engels "at some point." Asked who held the Instagram login, he said "Mr. Engles ... He's the only one that I'm certain of." The judge imposed a full gag order that afternoon. Engels was sitting in the gallery.

Before that he had been Stone's Florida foot soldier for six years. Stone invited him to cover a speech to the Orange County Libertarian Party in 2013, and Engels built the Central Florida Post around the access.

In November 2018 he ran the megaphone in the Broward County elections-office parking lot during the recount, tweeting "STOP THE STEAL" two years before anyone else used it, and that March he told a counter-protest he was there "on behalf of the state chapter of the Proud Boys." During Stone's jury selection in November 2019 he went on Infowars to name a juror as an "Obama communications asset." The prosecutors put that in their sentencing memo, and the judge read it into the record when she denied Stone a new trial.

Then January 6. The House Select Committee found that Stone's Signal group, "F.O.S." for Friends of Stone, included Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio, and that at least seven Oath Keepers guarded Stone outside the Willard Hotel that morning. The New York Times later reported Engels was in that chat and "went with Mr. Stone to Washington on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6, 2021, accompanying him around the city." Proud Boys prosecutors asked witnesses about him in 2022. He was never charged, and he says he slept through most of the day.

The split came this spring. On May 19, 2026 NewsNation published 2020 texts Engels supplied between Stone and ex-NYPD officer Sal Greco: Andrew Cuomo "is a murderer he must be brought to justice ... when you go to kill him you better get him," confronting Chris Cuomo was "on my to do list for 2021," and on Andrew Weissmann, "Boston is an easy drive from where you are. Be a f---ing man." Engels said Stone ran "an environment built on intimidation, loyalty, dependency and plausible deniability." Stone did not respond.

The next day, May 20, police in River Falls, Wisconsin arrested Engels at a motel; St. Croix County case 2026CF000289 charges felony methamphetamine possession, which he denies. By June he was running Greg Bovino's 2028 exploratory campaign and telling The Bulwark he became "the meth-head" only after accusing Stone of using meth.

Stone's first public word on him came this morning: Engels "tried blackmail and extortion and was stupid enough to put it in writing," with an indictment "imminent on federal charges." No such writing has been published and no federal charge exists. Thirteen years after the Libertarian Party speech, the two men who once shared an Instagram password are each predicting the other's indictment.

Glenn Dubin, the Highbridge Capital billionaire who left the Mount Sinai board this spring, settled a private dispute with Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 by agreeing to pay Epstein's Virgin Islands company $4,375,302. The money went out on October 6, 2014, six years after Epstein's guilty plea.

The settlement is in the Justice Department's Epstein files, and its recitals explain why Epstein had a claim on his friend. In 2002 Dubin steered Epstein's Financial Trust Company into Daniel Zwirn's hedge fund, a firm Dubin's own holding company half-owned at the start. Epstein put in $80 million. When Zwirn's fund froze redemptions in 2006 after an accounting scandal, Dubin sat on the three-way call that talked Epstein down from pulling all of his "140 plus million dollars" to $80 million, which the fund then refused to pay.

Epstein went after everyone. His lawyers at Kirkland & Ellis wrote him an August 7, 2009 memo on "Potential Claims against D.B. Zwirn, Glenn Dubin, and/or Highbridge Capital." The same lawyers then drafted the sworn affidavit Dubin would sign for Epstein's arbitration against Zwirn, and left their notes inside the text: "IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WE COULD GET GLENN TO SAY THAT ZWIRN ADMITTED JEE HAD THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAWAL HIS MONEY."

Dubin was scheduled to testify for Epstein on July 26, 2011. Six days later he signed a Settlement and Release Agreement with "Jeffrey Epstein, and Jeepers, Inc., a U.S. Virgin Islands Corporation," resolving the allegations about "his role in introducing the Epstein Parties" to the fund.

The terms: Dubin would make a "Backstop Payment" and sign over the distributions on his own $3.2 million stake in the dead fund to Epstein's company until it was repaid. Richard Kahn, Epstein's accountant, kept the ledger: "funds received from dubin 10-6-2014 4,375,302." In August 2018 a Deutsche Bank compliance officer, watching a Jeepers payment move from Bank of America to Deutsche to JPMorgan, asked, "Is there a relationship between Jeepers Inc and Dubin?" The answer from Epstein's side: "money belong to Glenn Dubin."

Zwirn's lawyers, who had their own fight to win, told the arbitrator in 2011 that Epstein "invested approximately $300 million in Highbridge," that he brought Highbridge to Jes Staley at JPMorgan in 2004, that "The deal made Mr. Dubin a billionaire," and that "Mr. Dubin paid Mr. Epstein a $20 million finder's fee." Forbes puts the fee at $15 million. In 2019 the Dubins' spokesperson described a business relationship that "ended more than a decade ago" and "was extremely limited."

The same files hold the social side. On November 16, 2009 an email signed "Eva and Glenn Dubin" told Epstein's Florida probation officer, "I am aware that Jeffrey Epstein is a registered sex offender" and "I am 100% comfortable with Jeffrey Epstein" around their children; the officer approved his Thanksgiving visit. Staff emails have him at the Dubins' Thanksgiving table in 2012, "bringing guests with him," and again in 2018. "Thank you for celebrating Thanksgiving with us," Eva wrote on November 22, 2018. "Thx great time." He was arrested eight months later.

Virginia Giuffre swore in 2016 that Dubin was the first man she was "sent out to after my training." Ghislaine Maxwell denied it under oath, the Dubins "categorically reject" it, and no charge has ever been brought against him. Glenn and Eva Dubin, who have now left both Mount Sinai boards, spent years steering Jeffrey Epstein's money into the Dubin Breast Center. In October 2013 Eva Andersson-Dubin pitched him a $5 million post-op floor for women with "a naming opportunity, for example The Epstein Floor for Women."

The paperwork is in the Justice Department's files. A year later the hospital's stewardship office sent her the wording for a plaque: "In honor of The Dubin Breast Center for its incompatible level of care. Jeffrey Epstein." She wrote back, "This is what the plaque will look like. I love it!" Epstein forwarded it: "please forward to this to glenn. he'll love it." Eva, a few minutes later: "I did not read it carefully enough:)" That was November 5, 2014, six years after his guilty plea to procuring a minor for prostitution.

The arrangement had been planned. On March 2, 2011, with Epstein two years out of the Palm Beach jail, an adviser emailed him: "You are in the PR penalty box ... use Dr.Eva as the person who gives the checks to the schools in your name she is a Dr. a wife and a mother." Two months later Eva was thanking him for a coat rack that "is sitting in the entrance of the Dubin Breast Center and it looks amazing!!!!" CNN counted at least $125,000 of Epstein money going straight to the center, and more than $300,000 to Mount Sinai bodies overall.

The money bought service. In October 2012 Epstein emailed Eva that a guest had fallen off an ATV on his island and needed her forehead stitched. "OK Jess ting is standing by. Call me as soon as you land," she answered, and Dr. Jess Ting, a Mount Sinai plastic surgeon, put 35 stitches into the young woman in Epstein's dining room on East 71st Street. In February 2013 Epstein had his accountant write Mount Sinai a $50,000 check earmarked for Ting's research. In 2016 Eva asked Epstein, "Can I give David Fiszel your email," and a hedge fund founder was writing him the same afternoon: "Eva Dubin gave me your email address."

None of it was hidden from the state. On November 16, 2009 an email signed "Eva and Glenn Dubin" told Epstein's Florida probation officer that they knew he was "a registered sex offender" who had pleaded guilty to "procuring a minor for prostitution" and that "I am 100% comfortable with Jeffrey Epstein" around their three children. The officer logged the call and approved his Thanksgiving visit.

Glenn Dubin joined the Mount Sinai board in 2007 and rose to vice-chair. Mount Sinai says both terms "ended this past spring, and they did not seek re-election," convened a trustee committee on its Epstein ties in February, and will not say what it found. In 2019 the hospital promised to give away a sum equal to Epstein's donations. It has never said how much that was. Bill Gates did not come to Leeuwarden. On October 22, 2026 three Dutch judges and ten lawyers heard the civil suit seven vaccinated Dutch citizens filed against him, Pfizer's Albert Bourla and Mark Rutte in 2023, before a hundred supporters in the room and a thousand on the stream.

The clip of their lawyer Peter Stassen saying the judges "have seen it" and "know" the vaccine is a biological weapon has been circulating since October 3. It was filmed at a meeting with a handheld microphone, not in a courtroom, and John O'Looney reposted it on October 18 with the line "I can send you an audio livestream, direct from the court on Thursday." No judge has said any such thing. The court has ruled three times in the case, and none of the three rulings touches the bioweapon claim.

What Stassen said in court on Thursday, per the NRC reporter in the room: "Covid-19 is not a disease but a satanic project," a "Nazi regime," Mein Kampf, The Great Reset rolled out through the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, cancer from vaccination. The overflow room applauded. The State's lawyer, Reimer Veldhuis of Pels Rijcken, who also acts for Gates, answered that there is "every room to criticise the state" but that "this way of litigating is not innocent": his clients are called "satanists and criminals" online, named on roadside banners, and still need security against death threats. The overflow room hissed.

The case got to Leeuwarden through one co-defendant. Gates argued a Dutch court cannot reach an American; on October 16, 2024 the court held it could because a GGD Fryslân doctor who sat on the Outbreak Management Team lives in Friesland, and Dutch procedure carries connected claims against all defendants with him. Gates paid 1,406 euros in costs. The plaintiffs' experts, Mike Yeadon, Sasha Latypova, Catherine Austin Fitts and Joseph Sansone, were refused a sworn hearing on August 20, 2025 and again on November 26, 2025; on October 14 this year a 3-hour-19-minute video of them went into the file as an exhibit, with admissibility reserved. An exhibit is not a finding.

Stassen argues alone because his co-counsel Arno van Kessel, who wrote the writ and declared Rutte deserved the death penalty, was arrested in June 2025 in a "sovereign citizens" sweep, spent months in Vught prison and may no longer call himself a lawyer. Two of the seven plaintiffs have died. The foundation that funded the case dissolved itself on October 4.

No ruling came on Thursday. NRC reports that no date has been announced; Latypova, who testified for the plaintiffs and was in the room, says the judge mentioned December 9 and warned it could slip to February. João Teixeira de Faria, "John of God", is the Brazilian medium Oprah Winfrey put on her show in November 2010 and flew to Abadiânia to film in March 2012. Goiás courts have since convicted him in 17 cases of raping and sexually assaulting women who came to him to be healed.

Oprah watched him cut "an inch-long incision above the woman's breast" with no anesthetic and wrote in O magazine that June that "the body does not lie" and "I felt an overwhelming sense of peace." Jeff Rediger, the psychiatrist booked as the show's skeptic, wrote in March 2026 that he warned her producers about rape rumors in 2010, that they sent two journalists to Brazil and found nothing they could prove, and that the disclaimer he fought for came out as a defense: "misunderstood by some, persecuted by others and even accused of impropriety." That is his account; Harpo declined to comment.

The exposure came on December 7, 2018, when TV Globo's Conversa com Bial aired the first accusers. Goiás prosecutors opened a complaints inbox on December 10 and logged 206 women in 30 hours, then 596 reports and 255 identified victims by December 22. He surrendered on a dirt road outside Abadiânia on December 16.

Police found about R$405,000 in mixed currencies and five unregistered guns, one with its serial number filed off, in a false-bottomed wardrobe in his bedroom, then R$1.2 million in a suitcase in a hidden basement behind a false cupboard. Oprah's statement, five days after the broadcast: "I empathize with the women now coming forward and hope justice is served." The episode and the articles came off her site.

The sentences ran from December 2019 to September 2023. Prosecutors charged him over 66 victims and the court convicted him over 56, with 120 more cases time-barred. The first-instance total reached 489 years and 4 months; one July 2023 batch alone was 99 years and 8 months. On appeal the Goiás high court cut the total to 214 years, 1 month and 20 days in May 2026. Nothing is final. He is 84 and wears an ankle monitor at home in Anápolis. The baby-selling claim came from activist Sabrina Bittencourt in a January 2019 video; prosecutors took her statement, no charge followed, and her death was announced a month later with the place disputed.

His file is older than Oprah. The Federal Police arrested him on November 6, 1985 moving more than a tonne of uranium-bearing ore toward an airstrip, a .38 at his waist. On Good Friday 2018 two sitting Supreme Court justices, Dias Toffoli and Luís Roberto Barroso, sat in his healing line at the Casa. Nine months later Toffoli, as the court's duty president, held his habeas corpus until the defense withdrew it.

On Epstein: the DOJ files name Oprah about 220 times and never once put her in a room with him. The closest the record gets is May 5, 2011, when Sarah Ferguson emailed Epstein that she was "going on Oprah tomorrow" and would be asked about him, and he wrote back the line to say, copying his media lawyer: "Jeffrey was unfairly characterized as a pedophile by the tabloid press." On August 11, 2016 he emailed Deepak Chopra, who ran meditation events with Oprah: "Should we bring together Woody and Oprah?" No reply is in the files. She is not in the contact book or on the flight logs.

Jared Kushner's lawyer has published the questions Matthew Cole sent him before Princes and Thieves. They name the warlord, mercenary and hit man of the Vanity Fair excerpt: Khalifa Haftar, $85 million in July 2018; Erik Prince, $60 million; Felipe Vidal, $80 million in 2019.

The letter is on https://t.co/FzpNH3i0Tw, dated August 10, 2026, from Alejandro Brito to Simon & Schuster's outside counsel and to the general counsel of KKR, which owns the publisher. It answers 73 written questions from May 19, May 28 and July 12, and every answer is a denial: "There are no accounts and never were." Kushner "does not know anyone named Dherar Al Falasi or what a Watani account is," met Erik Prince once during the 2016 transition, and "received regular counterintelligence briefings during his time in government and was never informed" of any hack.

Simon & Schuster had replied to the first complaint on August 3 with "full confidence in the book." So the book's specifics have been public for twelve weeks through the target's own lawyer, and every one of them still rests on people Cole does not name.

What is on the record for the months Cole says the Dutch were watching the phone is a different file, and it is American. On February 9, 2018 Rod Rosenstein told the White House counsel that "significant issues" would hold up Kushner's permanent clearance. The next week his interim clearance was cut from top secret to secret. On February 27 the Washington Post reported that officials in the UAE, China, Israel and Mexico had "privately discussed ways they can manipulate Jared Kushner," and that the Emiratis had identified him "as early as the spring of 2017 as particularly manipulable" because the family had $1.2 billion coming due on 666 Fifth Avenue in January 2019.

In May 2018 Trump ordered John Kelly to grant the top-secret clearance anyway. Kelly wrote a memo recording that he had been "ordered." Don McGahn wrote one recording the CIA's objections and his own recommendation against. Trump told the New York Times in January 2019 he had played no role.

The $2 billion with a paper trail came later and in the open. On June 30, 2021 the Saudi Public Investment Fund's screening panel reviewed Kushner's new firm, Affinity Partners, under the code name Project Astro and voted against it: management "inexperience," due diligence "unsatisfactory in all aspects," a fee that "seems excessive." Days later the full board, chaired by Mohammed bin Salman, overruled the panel and committed $2 billion at 1.25 percent, about $25 million a year.

By 2024 the Senate Finance Committee had Affinity at $157 million in foreign fees, $87 million of it Saudi, and no return on investment as of July 2024. Assets reached $4.8 billion by the end of that year, before he became Trump's envoy on Gaza, Iran and Ukraine.

The Dutch side is thinner than the headline. The MIVD told NOS it does not discuss methods, knowledge or sources. NOS also reported that Nieuwsuur and de Volkskrant, the team that exposed the AIVD's 2014 penetration of Cozy Bear, had spent years on the Kushner claim, spoken to people directly involved, and "found no confirmation." The precedent Cole leans on is real: in 2014 the joint AIVD and MIVD cyber unit watched Russian hackers through the Russians' own office camera in Moscow and saw them break into the State Department. That the same unit found Kushner's screen on a GRU server in Rostov is, for now, one author's account of what people he will not name told him.

Kushner points to his OGE 278e filings as his complete finances. The book is out October 27. If the Dutch did see what Cole says they saw in early 2018, they were looking at a man Washington's own counterintelligence had already written up as the weak point.

Within days the US unsealed its cases against him: a criminal tax indictment in Tennessee for unfiled returns from 2014 through 2018, an SEC complaint, and a separate Manhattan indictment over paid crypto promotion.

Spain sent him to Brians 2, a prison outside Barcelona, where he spent eight and a half months waiting on the extradition request. He told the court the charges were political and that he would die in custody if they sent him back.

He had been telegraphing it for years. Already a fugitive in 2019, he tweeted "If I suicide myself, I didn't. I was whackd. Check my right arm." He got “I was whacked” tattooed on his arm and launched a coin called $WHACKD. He spent the next two years insisting Epstein didn't kill himself either.

June 23, 2021. Spain's National Court makes its extradition ruling public. He is found hanging in his cell hours later. Guards try to revive him. His wife Janice has never accepted the suicide finding. A pre-trial detainee, dead in custody the same day his extradition cleared.

Jared's father Charles Kushner, US ambassador to France, gave $1,000,000 to MAGA Inc. on June 5, 2023 and $2.98 million over the 2024 cycle, was named for Paris 25 days after the election, and has twice been summoned by the French foreign ministry without showing up.

At his confirmation hearing on May 1, 2025 he told the Senate, 'I do not know much about French art and wine, but I do understand business.' The business was the problem the committee had just been handed: a financial disclosure listing assets of $514 million to more than $2 billion and 52 Kushner Companies positions still marked current, which Jeanne Shaheen noted had arrived only days before. She also read his 2004 guilty plea into the record; he called it 'a very, very, very serious mistake' and said his past mistakes made him 'more qualified to do this job.'

The Senate confirmed him 51-45 on May 19, 2025, Cory Booker the only Democrat in favor, and Trump and Marco Rubio swore him in at the Oval Office on June 18. He had been in Paris six weeks when the Wall Street Journal ran his open letter to Emmanuel Macron on August 24, accusing the French government of 'the lack of sufficient action' against antisemitism and declaring that 'anti-Zionism is antisemitism, plain and simple.' The foreign ministry answered the same day that the allegations were 'unacceptable' and violated 'the duty not to interfere in the internal affairs of states, as set out in the 1961 Vienna Convention,' and summoned him for Monday morning. He sent his deputy, Mario Mesquita. Macron told CBS the letter was 'unacceptable... for somebody who is supposed to be a diplomat.'

The second summons came in February 2026, after the embassy amplified a State Department post calling the Lyon death of the far-right activist Quentin Deranque a killing 'by left-wing militants' that 'should concern us all.' Kushner did not show up. Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot asked that he 'no longer be allowed direct access to members of the French government,' and the ban held until a phone call a few days later.

Whether he gave up the 52 company positions he told the committee he would address is not in any public filing we could find. The whole time he was branding himself a climate hero, Farallon was adding 70 million tons of coal production a year and holding $90 million in private prison stock.
