ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਕੌਮ ‘ਚ ਹੋਰ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ।

OUTCOME OF 9th TRIAL HEARING

Jaggi appeared via video link at Patiala House for three cases (RC 24/25/27) where 2 formal witnesses were cross examined again.

The hearing was adjourned to 10 Aug 2023 for cross examination of the same witnesses for one case (RC18).

Our Canadian Ministers have made statements regarding the Indian July 8 protests. While peaceful protesting is a Canadian Charter right, targeting #Diplomats with threats is not. I would not call all the people supporting the Khalistan separatist’s movement extremists for wanting their own state. Exactly. Same thing Sikhs were saying about visiting Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar couple of weeks ago, when blind Indian nationalists were not listening at all. Everyone should understand the difference between a tourist place and a religious place.

Today there was a protest called by the FSO in north London at a Sindhi community centre.

The Sindhi organisation has repeatedly done Parkash of Guru Granth Sahib without adhering to normal satkar (respect) and maryada (principle/tradition) established and normalised within the panth.

It is important to note that the Sindhi community centre has said that they are historically tied to Sikhi, however the organisation is set up to “advance the Hindu religion” and features a prominent Hindu symbol on the building, yet claims to have respect for Sikhi.

The repeated beadbi can be seen as a deliberate attempt to hurt Sikh sentiments.

As India faces serious accusations of hostile foreign interference in Canada and assassinating Sikh Canadian activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, India's External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar threatened the other day that "if there are activities which are permitted from Canada that impinge on our sovereignty, territorial integrity and security, then we will have to respond."

India has objected to Canada upholding free speech and other Charter rights for Sikh Canadian advocacy, even accusing organizers of the Khalistan Referendum, a peaceful and non-binding democratic vote, of terrorism.

The Canadian government has stressed in multiple bilateral meetings with India over the years that arbitrary or extrajudicial crackdowns on otherwise protected rights is not how democracy works in Canada, unless India can provide evidence of actual criminal activity. India has not been able to provide any proof.
