Open minded European ready to explore new insights and experiences. Not into religion, but the danger comes from tolerating intolerance and dogmatic BS.
This is a coup attempt. They’re turning off traffic lights and canceling bus routes and flights and ferries on election day. The world needs to be paying attention
Fallout from the Starlink restrictions could hit US weapons exports such as the F-35.
There were already concerns that the F-35 has a built-in software kill switch. And the US actions on Starlink just turned that risk from theoretical to something proven and real.
Very costly choice by the US.
Norway is literally one of the best, most well-run countries in the world. It doesn’t get better than Norway.
But of course, Trump wouldn’t know about any of that. He probably couldn’t even find Norway on a map.
1945 fighting around Auschwitz concentration camps:
Elon Musk, those poor Wehrmacht souls. They have been forced into this. We are stopping fuel supplies to the allied forces.
The only warmongers are in the Kremlin. Europe and our allies support Ukraine in its self-defence in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. It really shouldn’t be that hard to grasp.
What “poor Russian conscripts” is he talking about? The Russian soldiers fighting against Ukraine serve under official contracts and are paid for it. Their salaries are funded in part by the extra money Putin is receiving as a result of Trump’s recent decisions to waive some of the sanctions on Russia.
And now, something very important.
Russia pretends to be “great,” yet it is a very poor country. Its entire economy is comparable in size to that of the U.S. state of Texas. Millions of Russians live in economically depressed regions. For them, signing a contract with the Russian army is often the only realistic path to social advancement, because it lets them earn the kind of money they could only have dreamed of in their impoverished home regions.
The families of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine are perfectly satisfied. They receive sums of money that their husbands or sons could never have earned, even if they had worked for the rest of their lives.
That’s why our Russian human rights colleagues call this kind of economy a “necronomy,” meaning a “death economy.” Russia sells death. Literally.
Yes, this bloody war must be stopped. And to stop it, we must make the cost of war for Putin higher than the cost of peace.
So if Musk truly cares about the lives of Russian soldiers, America must break the Russian necronomy’s ability to fuel this bloody war. But the Trump administration has done exactly the opposite. America has begun to finance it.
I am attaching to this post just a few examples of Russian state advertising, showing the amounts in rubles for which “Russian kids” go to kill Ukrainians.
Calls victims who fight because they don’t want to die helplessly "warmongers". How dare Ukraine refuse occupation and subjugation and disturb profitable deals with the genocidal Russian regime!
Musk wants everyone to feel bad for the Russians in Ukraine, and likely doesn't know or care that 90% of Russian soldiers are in Ukraine joined voluntarily by lure of the $4200/month, NOT conscripts.
Elon treating this like a Twitter violation - It’s not someone’s social media account on the line. It’s the survival of an allied nation. “Terms of Service violation.” Really? Now? No. This was political.
