Rishabh Pant is returning to Delhi Capitals from LSG in player's swap for Kuldeep Yadav.

How is this trade valid in IPL :-

Because this is a player-for-player swap, new contracts can be negotiated if both players will agree.

Pant accepted a 44% salary drop from ₹27cr to ₹15cr to facilitate his homecoming in Delhi Capitals.

Only ₹15cr will be deducted from Delhi Capitals purse, not his original ₹27cr price tag.

Kuldeep Yadav is likely to move to Lucknow Supergaints on his existing ₹13.25cr fee.
