Work isn't just stressing us out, it's making us sick! We need to do more culturally to change this...
Thank you to Dr. Valerie Rein, my fantastic editor at MIT, @debmilstein, and @mitsmr for making this article a reality!

High-achieving women, if you feel like you’re drowning at work, you need to let go of these 5 things…
Maladaptation #1: The need to be perfect
#2: The need to fit in to rise
#3: The need to sacrifice to succeed
#4: The need to do it alone
#5: “Success Means Having It All”
The corporate fairytale is failing! It’s not the happy ending many women hoped for, but maybe it never was in the first place.
Happy to share our latest @HarvardBiz article and grateful to have collaborated with @LisenStromberg and @lisakaplowitz!

It can be easy to get caught up in other people’s perception of you, but don’t let it consume you. You get to define what they walk away with. Often, it is in challenging situations that we find our voice.
I found my voice in one of my first big client meetings as a new Partner. The client was a brash CTO who dropped the f-bomb often and hated consultants. He took one look at me and said, “If I had a daughter, she would be older than you so what could you possibly have to tell me?”
I had his attention. We talked for almost two hours and he became one of my biggest buyers. I learned that my leadership style is truth telling, and it served me well. Because I was young and looked young, I could not lead with my experience or expertise.
My family didn’t really celebrate Diwali growing up, so interesting to see so much happening around it here in the US. It really does feel like it’s everywhere this year!
If you’re celebrating #Diwali today, how are you celebrating?

I am humbled that #FirstFewOnly served as the backbone of @Parexel's day focused on how WOC can find their power and how co-conspirators can show up differently.
So many incredible leaders shared their wisdom with the next generation. It was a true vision of the “power of we"!
That’s a wrap on the #PowerofWeSummit! We'd like to thank @bwicr20 for helping make this event possible and our speakers for their insights on ways we can break down barriers for women of color, create space as allies and ultimately move clinical research forward together.
Thank you to @PeytonRHowell, @DarysEstrella and @DeepaPuru for sharing their powerful stories, best career advice and the valuable lessons they’ve learned along the way in today’s insightful audience Q&A. #PowerofWeSummit
In her book #TheFirstTheFewTheOnly, @DeepaPuru asks women, especially women of color, how do we stay true to ourselves, how do we stand in our power and how do we change the definition of leadership? #PowerofWeSummit
