One of the reasons I chose to leave the IIT system was the opportunity to work closely with Mr. K M Birla. He was the Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Delhi during my tenure as Director, and I experienced first hand his simplicity, integrity, and deep commitment to education. It did not take much convincing for me to move to the BITS Pilani system immediately after my term ended.

His belief in institutional autonomy, long term thinking, and quiet philanthropy resonates deeply with my own convictions about how enduring institutions are built. I am grateful to be working closely with him today, with our discussions often stretching for three to four hours on institutional pathways to excellence. When he says, “we will do big things together,” one can sense the quiet conviction behind those words.

मैंने अपने एक मित्र से पूछा था कि भारत ने मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग में तरक्की क्यों नहीं की, तो उसने कहा कि कैसे होगी तरक्की। मेक इन इंडिया का प्रतीक चिन्ह (Logo) सिंह (Lion) बना देने से नहीं हो जाती है। Logo रख लिया है Lion का और पब्लिक को डरा डरा कर मेमना बना दिया है। यही कारण है कि 11 साल निकल गए और नतीजा ज़ीरो। चुनाव जीतने के लिए खाते में 10000 डालने पड़ रहे हैं। ऊपर से हेराफेरी के सौ आरोप अलग।

Compared to last year, the cutoff for the General category dropped by 18 marks this year. Despite the paper being tough, the cutoff was seven marks higher than in 2023. #neetug2025
