PNG Supply Commences at Shri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya

Ayodhya, one of India’s most ancient and spiritually revered cities, situated along the sacred Sarayu River in Uttar Pradesh, holds profound significance as the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram.

In a significant development towards sustainable energy adoption, the Maa Sita Rasoi within the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi mandir premises, where Bhog Prasad for Shri Ram Lalla is prepared, has been made LPG free through the commencement of PNG supply by Green Gas Ltd., the Joint Venture CGD company of GAIL and IOCL.

The initiative reflects a commitment towards cleaner and more efficient energy solutions while supporting environmentally conscious infrastructure at one of the nation’s most sacred sites.

Expanding access to clean energy in Varanasi, GAIL has enabled PNG connections across key mid-day meal kitchens, including Akshay Patra - supporting 70,000 meals per day for students and Tarun Child & Women Development Society - supporting preparation of nearly more than 30,000 meals for students daily. Using this PNG supply at the Annapurna Kitchen of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, around 15,000 devotees are being served meals and Prasad everyday.

The initiative also extends to Ashrams, Maths, and Welfare organisations such as Rishikul Ashram, Apna Ghar Ashram, and Kashi Kusht Seva Sangh - ensuring safer, reliable, and sustainable energy for essential community services.

With the above initiative, since 1st March 2026, approximately 2,800 commercial LPG cylinders per month have been replaced by PNG connections.

In a significant step towards a cleaner future, Shiv Vihar, BHEL Township , Landmark Tower 1 & 2, and Sampada Apartments have been declared LPG-free zones - reinforcing GAIL’s commitment to greener and safer living.

@dromsudhaa First of all, snatching all milk of Cows & Buffaloes and most of male Calf & Bulls are killed by starvation/ sent to Beef industry. After milking age even cows are slaughtered…so we need to rethink and Act wisely..they can be fed on residue part of crop & give manure for farming

GAIL strengthens healthcare infrastructure in Varanasi!

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, GAIL (India) Limited has signed an MoU worth ₹6.64 crores with Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT) to enhance the medical facilities of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Ramnagar, in coordination with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Office, Varanasi.

The partnership will provide 219 advanced medical equipment, including an Anesthesia Work Station, CB NAAT Machine, Arthroscopy System, Fundus Camera, and Anaesthesian ENT Operating Microscope — significantly upgrading diagnostic and treatment capabilities for critical care services.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Shri Prakhar Kumar Singh, Chief Development Officer (CDO), Varanasi, and Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary, Chief Medical Officer, Varanasi, Shri Sushil Kumar, GM (CGD) Varanasi - OIC, GAIL, along with officials from GAIL and HLFPPT.

This initiative reflects GAIL’s commitment to improving community health and well-being through sustainable CSR interventions. 🌿💙
