Absolute rubbish and I’ll explain why:

The "Plug-and-Play" Myth, you cannot simply plug a USB cable into a locked, modern iPhone and press a "view" button to see documents.
Forensic tools like GrayKey or Cellebrite do not work as simple file explorers. They rely on finding a specific vulnerability (an exploit) in the boot ROM or the OS to bypass the lockout timers and rate limits. If no such exploit exists for that specific OS version and hardware revision, the tool cannot get in.
✅ Solution - keep your phone updated on the latest iOS or Google release and enable Lockdown Mode and Advanced Data Protection. Ensure you have a high entropy passphrase not a PIN code! Use GrapheneOS.

2️⃣
PINs vs. High-Entropy Passwords Most forensic success stories involve 4- or 6-digit PINs. These are susceptible to brute-forcing if the tool can bypass the OS level delays. A password with high entropy is computationally infeasible to crack via brute force, even if the rate limits were bypassed, as the number of combinations exceeds the processing power available to any known agency.
✅ Solution - set a high entropy passphrase (nobody does this, therefore it makes the task easier).

Hardware-Backed Security, The Secure Enclave (Apple) and the Titan M2 (Google/Pixel) are designed specifically to prevent the kind of access these tools seek.
They handle the encryption keys separately from the main processor.
For a forensic tool to work, it must either find a way to trick the Secure Enclave into releasing the keys or find a vulnerability that allows it to bypass the Enclave entirely. These components are designed to be the most resilient part of the device.
✅ Solution - ensure you have a device with a Secure Enclave married with good OPSEC.

4️⃣
The Hardened Stack - OPSEC / GraoheneOS / Hardened iPhone.
When you combine a hardened OS with:

- BFU (Before First Unlock) state: Where the encryption keys aren't even in RAM.
- Lockdown Mode: Which disables various message attachments and web technologies that are common entry points for exploits.
- External Encryption: Using services like Proton or Tuta and some E2EE messengers, which means the data isn't even on the physical device to be extracted, maybe metadata lingers.

In this specific architecture, the "scareware" aspect of this video is high.

❌ For a user with a weak PIN and default settings, these tools are a major threat.

✅ For a user following the hardening steps listed, the barrier to entry for law enforcement is effectively a "wall" that requires a zero-day exploit of immense value and complexity to breach, which is not something used in routine police work.
