#WATCH | Delhi: On the DUSU elections, NSUI presidential candidate Vijay Shankar Meena says, "I come from an ordinary family, so I understand the pain and suffering of students very well. When I came to Delhi University, I saw their pain and suffering—otherwise, I had only come here to study. I had no plan to ever contest elections at Delhi University. But after witnessing their pain and agony, I decided to contest the elections.
"When a student comes from far away to Delhi University, their most basic need is accommodation, which Delhi University is unable to provide. Every year, 75,000 students come to Delhi University for undergraduate programmes, but Delhi University can provide accommodation to only 3,000 students... The corporatisation that is currently happening at Delhi University is something against which our elder brother Vinod Jakhar ji and Rahul Gandhi ji have been fighting for a long time. We promise—we have been fighting for a long time, and on the 18th, we will contest the elections, win them, and uproot this corporatisation from Delhi University." (11.09)

[ANI @ANI]

#WATCH | On Opposition to move no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal says," "I am not part of that Opposition...In the last 18 years, I haven't seen this House run the way it is today. I request the government and the Speaker that the MPs here have been elected and sent by the people... but if you won't even let them speak, then why is the people's money being spent on running House?...How can you silence the entire Opposition? This important issue: the country has been misled about the India-US trade agreement... You can't prosper by ruining the country's farmers...I urge the government to let the Opposition speak; if the Opposition isn't even allowed to speak, then why was this Parliament made?"
