We will not let them destroy the soul of India: our democracy.

We owe it to every freedom fighter who sacrificed everything for our freedom to protect it with all our might.

14 अगस्त, 1947 की रात 11 बजे शुरू हुई संविधान सभा की बैठक, पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी के ऐतिहासिक भाषण Tryst with Destiny के कारण अमर हो गई।

जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी द्वारा यह भाषण संविधान सभा के अध्यक्ष डॉ. राजेंद्र प्रसाद जी के संबोधन के बाद दिया गया था।

लेकिन...

उस वक्त कुछ ऐसा भी हुआ था, जिसे Tryst with Destiny के प्रसिद्ध भाषण के कारण उतनी मान्यता नहीं मिल पाई।

बता दें कि जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी ने Tryst with Destiny के अपने अंग्रेजी भाषण से पहले करीब छह मिनट तक हिंदी में भाषण दिया था।

पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी ने अपने उस हिंदी भाषण में Tryst with Destiny के सार को बेहद काव्यात्मक और सुंदर ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया था।
