NAFDAC Prepared to Engage 450 Young Pharmacists for the NAFDAC Young Pharmacists Reserve Volunteers Program.

Dear Colleagues,

If you would recall, In February 2025, during a courtesy visit to the NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Tekena George-led 2024/2025 PSN-YPG administration presented a proposal for a NAFDAC Young Pharmacists Reserve Volunteers Program, an initiative to create structured volunteer opportunities for young Pharmacists to participate in NAFDAC's activities in areas of Pharmacovigilance, inspection, quality assurance, enforcement, public sensitization and other assignments, as determined by the Agency.

The DG gave her express approval, and by May 2025, the program had drawn applications from 1,410 young Pharmacists nationwide, out of which 450 were shortlisted.

Today, we're excited to share that NAFDAC has officially approved the 450 shortlisted names to begin immediate engagement with the Agency under the program.

This stands as one of the enduring achievements of our tenure in office.

Emails are currently being sent to all shortlisted Young Pharmacists by NAFDAC.

Congratulations to all 450 Young Pharmacists volunteers!

Most pharmacies don’t have a system.

They have WhatsApp.

That’s risky when it comes to medication.
