I get why so many people are frustrated or skeptical about this Iran MOU. On paper, it looks like a massive compromise: $300 billion in unfrozen assets, a fixed schedule to lift sanctions, and immediate oil export waivers for Tehran. But what were we expecting when on one side, Trump is facing an apocalyptic regime that wants the world to burn and on the other, an American public that has no stomach for war? He played the cards that were actually on the table.
I’m sick and tired of the politicians and podcasters who bitch and complain no matter what Trump does. They scream that the war has to stop, but the second he stops it, they turn around and yell, "what kind of deal is this?!" If the goal is to actually end Iran’s regime, history shows there's only one model that works: total WWII-style defeat, occupation, and denazification. That requires American boots on the ground and an Iranian people ready to build a free country from the rubble. But NO ONE, myself included, wants boots on the ground.
Is this MOU what Trump wanted? I doubt it. But he did exactly what a leader of a Republic should do: he listened to the people and found a way to end this. A dictator would have kept on going. At the end of the day, a president can only go as far as the people will carry him. Right now, our appetite for war stops at the gas pump.
I’m fighting for a western civilization where none of them had to die.
We’re not fighting red vs. blue.
We’re fighting good vs. evil.
Darkness vs. light.
We must win.
California’s congressional districts are already 83% Democratic.
Now Gavin Newsom wants to spend $282M to gerrymander even more seats.
California is in decline.
We can’t keep giving the same failing leaders more power.
No on Prop 50.
Moderate alcohol consumption (just 1 drink a day) can double a woman's risk of breast cancer from 1 in 8 to 1 in 4
Even light drinking (<7 drinks per week) raises a woman's lifetime breast cancer risk from 1 in 8 to roughly 1 in 7
Alcohol directly damages DNA and accelerates mutations, increasing cancer risk in a dose-dependent manner
There's likely no safe level of alcohol intake for women when it comes to cancer risk, especially given breast cancer’s already high baseline risk
NYT reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro sits in silence as JD Vance educates her on the labor force participation rate relating to illegal immigration.
Garcia-Navarro tried arguing that illegal immigrants can't be deported because America needs them for jobs.
She pointed to the unemployment rate to back up her claim but was immediately shot down by Vance.
"The unemployment rate does not count labor force participation dropouts."
"This is one of the really deranged things that I think illegal immigration does to our society, is it gets us in a mindset of saying, 'we can only build houses with illegal immigrants.'"
"We have 7 million men, not even women, just men who have completely dropped out of the labor force."
"Sometimes people who may be struggling with addiction or trauma, need to get reengaged in American society."
"We cannot have an entire American business community that is giving up on American workers and then importing millions of illegal laborers. That is what we have thanks to Kamala Harris' border policies. I think it's one of the biggest drivers of inequality."
"It's one of the biggest reasons why we have millions of people who've dropped out of the labor force. Why try to reengage an American citizen in a good job if you can just import somebody from Central America who's gonna work under the table for poverty wages?"
"It is a disgrace and it has led to the evisceration of the American Middle class."
Three years ago today, America lost 13 heroic servicemembers in the Abbey Gate terrorist attack.
We honor their memory and will never forget their sacrifice.
