Yes, it’s a corporate setting. Yes, modern workplaces allow us to refer to people by their first names. But did you hear anyone else in that room call the stakeholder by his first name???

We should not completely abandon our culture of respect simply because the workplace has become more modern.

Except actions within the immediate environment implies acceptance of a first-name interaction or the stakeholder has explicitly expressed comfort with that level of informality, read the room and act right!
