@DefAMustRead You can shout no all you like, but biology and neurology aren't about to bow your affronted sensibilities. Having such an axe to grind over trans people is the same as being offended by people with red hair or green eyes or who are left-handed. We're simply a natural variation.
@DnaiFear No. It isn't. Because those people were born with those things.
They aren't complicating medical ethics by asking to be given new immutable traits.
Your gamates don't define your identity but they identify your sex without debate.
Why do these people hate themselves so much and why is it all of our problems?
We cannot expend this much energy on this nonsense "community".
Say NO.
@DefAMustRead@OGshermbot@finngalkn You love love to argue in the same circles. Trans people are very aware of what is and isn't possible via GAC. It's you all who constantly return to XX/XY and gametes as if those are the end-all, be-all of identity.
@VinasRick Let's start at the beginning premise. They are having to be introduced, right?
Now, there are obvious exceptions to this rule (but they are medically-necessary), but that's the starting point.
@DefAMustRead@finngalkn There's no such thing as "wrong sex" hormones. There are just hormones. The "wrongness" come about if an individual's hormone levels cause them distress.
@finngalkn@RomSparrowhawk Yes. But not in the way that you assert. Because you cannot change sex and YOU have not changed SEX. You are doing a disservice to all of humanity right now by pretending that this is a reality.
I just read the most fascinating comment:
"A woman is a man with no responsibility."
🤣 🤣 🤣
I very seldom like to get into the war between the sexes. I called a cease fire on all that when I adopted my nephew.
But, well, this one statement is the largest pile of bull excrement that ever steamed itself into the air.
A woman is not a man.
A man is not a woman.
Biology dictates that.
The no responsibility part is also amusing. Now, I do believe that there are women who refuse to take responsibility. They are often given weaker guidelines from society as whole. Lindsey Clancy is an example of that.
But I like to think that despite the crazy that sometimes defines my sex, there are those of us who can rise to the occasion. We take responsibility. We work. We raise children. We take care of the good men.
What are we doing? Really. What are we doing? We have let the crazies take over. With both sexes.
We need to stop. Soon. Not just because all of this is substantially annoying, but because, the children we raise depend on it. Boys and girls.
I like to think of myself as a tradionalist, but I also believe in equality. Not equity. Equality.
For every woman who does something stupid there is a man who is just as bad.
We have let the crazies take over and now they have take the leave to make stupid comments on the internet.
We need to stop. All this time we spend arguing could be spent on changing the future.
And yet, I will still have people tell me that I'm wrong. I usually am, believe me, I know.
But not in this instance.
@DnaiFear@OGshermbot@finngalkn Medicine is always advancing. People cannot change sex. These are separate concepts. Are you capable of comprehending this?
@DnaiFear@finngalkn No. It doesn't.
You are delusional and I'm done with you and your ilk.
You have an accomplished nothing except for sterilizing yourself. Which, ha!, probably for the best considering you don't understand the world, science, or even yourself.
Stop.
@OGshermbot@DnaiFear@finngalkn Estrogen alone can suppress testicular testosterone, but only when levels are high enough to strongly inhibit pituitary LH.
Which is, again, wildly unnatural and harmful in ways we can't predict currently.
Start with exclusivity.
In 2023, Pew asked Americans whether open marriages are acceptable.
Republicans: 20%
ALL Straight adults: 29%
Lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults: 75%
Three in four LGB adults say marriage can include outside partners.
@OGshermbot@DnaiFear@finngalkn Doses used for natal males seeking feminization are several times higher than standard postmenopausal estrogen replacement. That difference is intentional in the protocols, not an artifact of averages.
So, it's wrong-sex poison for the mentally-ill. Ethics chimes ringing.
