The Power of Quiet Productivity
In today’s workplaces, we celebrate energy, visibility, and constant activity. But sometimes, the loudest presence is not the most impactful.
Recently, I came across a beautiful analogy that truly made me pause:
Today the government announced the third set of regulations for the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme have been laid in Parliament.
A public consultation on further proposed changes to the scheme has also been launched and the findings from an independent review on IBCA have been published.
A message from our Interim Chief Executive, David Foley:
“Today, we have taken another step to making sure that each and every eligible person is paid the compensation that they are due. The third set of infected blood compensation regulations, once in law, will mean that we can continue to open the service to more and more of the infected blood community as soon as possible.
“In addition, the Cabinet Office’s consultation on a fourth set of regulations, in response to recommendations made by the Infected Blood Inquiry, will give the infected blood community, and those that represent them, the opportunity to share their views and shape parts of the compensation scheme.
“We also welcome the findings of the independent review into IBCA. The review’s report makes clear that we are building a claim service at speed, while putting the needs of the community at its centre. We will carefully review all the recommendations and continue to work closely with the community as we consider the recommendations into the service.”
