UPDATE: One Iranian sailor is in critical condition after being rescued from the distressed frigate IRIS Dena off the coast of Galle.

A total of 32 rescued sailors have been admitted to Galle National Hospital. The cause of the vessel’s distress/sinking remains unknown.

Developed through a collaboration between Israel's IMDO and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, with IAI as the prime contractor, Arrow 4 introduces advanced maneuvering capabilities. These enhancements are made possible by winglets and aerodynamic control surfaces.

Additionally, Arrow 4 incorporates AI-enhanced technology to effectively intercept maneuverable re-entry vehicles (MRV) and maneuverable targets (MaRV). Notably, some of these threats were already encountered during the Iranian and Houthis attacks in 2024-2025.
