The convoy, which included around 500 families, was part of arrangements linked to the implementation of the January 29 agreement on the return of displaced people and coordination between the parties involved. Extremely concerning reports that Kurdish civilians in Kobane have been detained for condemning the government's failure to protect Sere Kaniye returnees.

Asking the government to do its job is not a crime. This is a dark return to pre-2011 days, when protest was impossible.
