Try to go for products that have clear plastic packaging! Plastic is ground into tiny flakes that are then melted to make new, recycled plastic. If the plastic flakes are colored, it's more difficult to be turned into clear plastic, making it less desirable and less recycled.
Try to avoid cans that are packaged with plastic rings. Even if you cut them, they can still be ingested by marine life and are extremely harmful. Alternatively, some brands use cardboard packaging, and there are even companies that use a biodegradable material called E6PR!
Further, try to find everyday footwear, such as sneakers Athletic shoe, that are made from natural or recycled materials โป. Many brands, such as Adidas, have begun making shoes using plastic that is obtained from the oceans!
By littering and using plastic waste, humans damage and slowly kill the ocean ecosystem, the single most powerful source for sustaining human life. Each day, think about how you can reduce using plastic and/or how you can help prevent it from entering our oceans!
Happy #WorldOceansDay !!
Today, take a moment to reflect on how your actions impact the ocean and how you can spread the movement.
"Our Ocean, Our Future!"
This year's World Oceans Day theme is "The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods". If you didn't know, the ocean is home to organisms responsible for producing nearly 70% of the world's oxygen! ๐

As we remember our fallen heroes this weekend, don't forget to think about our amazing planet and the things we can do to protect it!
Even though plastic cutlery may be made out of recycled materials, it often gets transported to landfills when disposed, spending hundreds of years polluting the environment by leaching chemicals into the soil, which eventually make their way into our food and water!
Try to opt for more eco-friendly products. Brands such as Upcircle create care products that minimize the use of plastic and seek to create natural and sustainable products. There are many brands that create these products, and they are just one Google search away!

For the beauty and self-care gurus out there, you may not realize that many of the products you use also
contain plastics as an ingredient! These microplastics are easily ingested by organisms, causing them biological harm, such as hindering reproductive development.
