Is Hell really a place of eternal torment?
What does the Bible actually say?
When did the Catholic & Orthodox Churches make it official doctrine?
Let’s look at Scripture, early church writings, & history 👇
@NominalJoe@CrankyAttitude@Toneskeee I’m not here to bring attention to myself, I started this page to just spread good news about Jehovah & Jesus but this place is filled with demonic energy.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee Your NKJV literally has passages that are not inspired by God, our translation uses the oldest most authoritative manuscripts available to modern translators much older than the Masoretic text used to translate the NKJV and KJV.
You conceded before the debate really started.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee Passages in the NKJV such as 1 John 5:7, Acts 8:37, and Mark 16:9-20, that many scholars believe were later additions because they are missing from the earliest available Greek manuscripts.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee No educated scholar would argue that supplying an implied word is inherently illegitimate, since translators do this throughout the New Testament when context requires it.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee The debate is not whether “other” appears in the Greek it does not but whether the context permits or requires it & if it agrees with the rest of the scriptures.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee The word “other” is not in the Greek text, but neither are many words translators supply for clarity.
The KJV also adds words that are not in the Hebrew & Greek that needed to be supplied by the translators to clarity context.
You’re extremely uneducated buddy
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee Greek often leaves implied words unstated when the context makes them obvious, so adding “other” is understood by Jehovah’s Witnesses as a contextual clarification rather than a change in meaning.
Came up for a peaceful discussion & was met with an immature child.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee Guy literally invited me up to quote one verse, cut me off as I was explaining how Greek grammar works, then ended the space.
You’re a coward
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee The rendering all things still does not equate Jesus with almighty God because Revelation 3:14 calls Jesus the “Beginning of the creation by God” and Colossians 1:15 calls him the “firstborn of all creation” so clearly if someone is “of” creation that meant they where created.
@debate_4Truth@Toneskeee What renderings in the NWT do you believe are inaccurate ?
What words were “added” that are not allowed according to the Greek ?
Are you aware of the ancient manuscript evidence to support our renderings ?
