While it looks like Audrey Werro shouldn't be given a place in the final after her fall, which didn't seem to involve anyone else, you can see why the organisers want her there. This has been billed as a huge race and you'd want all the best athletes in it. #BBCSport

@dafneflippers Keely herself talked of challenging for the outdoor WR. I assume she wouldn’t have done that without some decent training times? And she has improved, especially indoors; it’s just that Werro has improved so much better! Reminds me of Tadej/Jonas in cycling, a bit.

@BBCSport While her season has been great, I bet she wished, and maybe half-expected after the indoor WR, she had posted Audrey Werro’s times herself. I think it will be tough for either to get the outdoor WR to be honest but fingers crossed 🤞 🤷‍♂️

@chess_feed Kh8 looks correct to me. Kf8 fails to give mate in 2 after ...Qf3+, Bxf3+ Rb7.

Another frustrating blitz blunder. After doing the hard work and seeing that ...Bd1 wins even after c5 Bxe2, Bxa2 due to ...Bd3#, I instead move my knight to c3 where it's en prise!!

@grac_e_S_charis Biology, I think. Men “programmed” to respond more positively to visual stimuli for the basic aim to procreate quickly and widely. Women want to take more time to choose, so often find the non-visual qualities to be more important for their choice. Big generalisation of course!

@xxChessMaster Now I think if taken on f6, white king stops black f pawn, plays g7 then mops up f2 and b3 pawns while rook oscillates. Then marches own b pawn to b6 to free black king from stalemate while getting ready to take black rook too. Tough!

@xxChessMaster Qxb3? fails to …Rxh1+, Ka2 Ra1+ with stalemate. Instead, after …Rxf8, white could get his knight to f6, where, if not taken he promotes to d8, then plays Nd7+ and after …Rxd7, cxd7 black has to move the c pawn and white wins. If the knight is taken on f6 I have no idea 🤷‍♂️
