Actual #artfight2025 nightmare scenario-- my attack failed to upload during the last five minutes. It was a mass attack involving @smokedvelvett and three other people not on here. Bitter disappointment to miss the window but hopefully it stands on its own merits, at least.
My first attack for this year's #artfight2025 happens to be my first #digitalpainting attack for the event and my first piece of #furryart basically ever! Meet Salvador, @sallymiakki's OC who happens to be chilling in a familiar place.
The first thing I did for #artfight was make a new character to go with the #TEAMCRYSTALS theme! Meet Cherles, a magicals floating rock covered in magical floating gems! I love them. What if Charles was chert.
Posting here as well, I'm still doing #artfight this year! In fact, I'm doing #TEAMCRYSTALS. Due to time constraints I won't be doing as much 3D modeling but I will be doing some traditional art to compensate!
#PrideMonth is technically still happening for a few more minutes so I'm still on time to do fanart for my favorite nonbinary representation in video games, Kris from #DELTARUNE !
My mom's getting spine surgery soon, so for #MothersDay2025 I decided to compose a comforting message using floriography, or the 19th century "language of flowers." As I take this from a sketch to a full #digitalpainting I'll explain the meaning of each flower. Come follow along!
@mcmansionhell I think that while the reality of decline is going to be personally difficult, I know that we can survive through solidarity and that same decline will eventually make a better life possible for subaltern peoples that wouldn't otherwise happen. I want to see that bear fruit.
My literal last-minute submission to #ArcticFight2024 is a Woodlands + Alpenglow combo. First digital painting I made with my tablet I'm putting out publicly. Took approx. six hours to complete, could have used double that time easily.
Doing a last minute submission to #Artfright2024! As usual, I used #b3d to bang out a nice #NPR styling using the Witching Hour prompt and the Dying Embers color palette! Pretty satisfied with how it came out!
Back in the (public) #b3d saddle! I decided to celebrate the resurrection of #SoftwareFreedomDay2024 by participating in their tablet competition. I got lucky it got extended. Not perfectly happy with the result, but I got something over the finish line with a bit of character!
Here it is my attempted #b3d render of @F0XnR0LL's Patty. Had to use Cycles on this one and my GPU doesn't have enough VRAM, so no animation on this one, it was all CPU. I got it improved, but obviously there's room for improvement. But it's out there now.
So Artfight is long gone at this point (no results yet lol) but those who've seen my account know I actually have a tenth upload. It's missing from my socials so far-- why? It went badly. But I gotta put it out there sometime. My first use of fur tech, first big cycles render.
My ninth #artfightattack is my only friendly fire-- @AraxianOddities did an incredible drawing of one of my OCs, so I had to get one of hers rendered in #Blender! I picked a glitchy character named ### and went for a painterly style. That mountain? 3D. Thanks for the art, Jynx!
Seventh #artfightattack of the month is @GiraffeBazooka's lovely Isaac Gargoyle! This is my first attempt at a toon shader in #Blender, and as usual I found many hidden challenges. The special character features in the #animation really made it pop though!
Not a lot of behind-the-scenes for this one, though I will say this was my first use of Rigify metarig generation in one of these projects and I think it will be the go to moving forward for the rest of Artfight.
