@miminohonkshoo@LiljaTheRobin To be fair, would it not also be an unfair advantage to have your hitbox made visible to you in a fighting game or a shooter game?
With pixel-perfect you can get away with a lot more clean and precise movement/positioning that would be considered risky to do without it.
@MikuChan3D_VRC@LiljaTheRobin They released one POV but to play a bit of devil's advocate for the people upset, we don't know if they had one "clean" player to record while the others used third-party tools.
Would've been nice to have 8 perspectives.
@SmuggestSage Figuring out the secret to p1 wouldve taken MUCH longer if that one team that discovered it that wasnt even part of mogtalk didn't stream it.
It was fun seeing the mix of collaborative efforts and competition of people trying to pick apart the content based on all the streams.
@AzureBlazeEdge@Telayo One thing that has me skeptical to trust them is that we only have one person's POV, not all of them.
It could easily be one screen set up to be legit, and the rest using pixelperfect without anything recording their gameplay.
Esp when they had people using it in FRU.
@Icedustmoon@MogTalkTweets The money is literally all going to charity, they're not taking it for themselves.
It's not like PayPal, instead the method used sends it DIRECTLY to the charity.
@yulingdust "If you're upset about Frosty acknowledging the clear of potential cheaters, withdraw your donation to a children's charity in protest" is not the message someone taking a high road would promote.
I don't like they were acknowledged, but come on now.
@Hwan_Ryu I mean the point being made is, the team has cheated in the past and while FFLogs is a third party site that tends to use a third-party tool to record fights, there's a sizeable difference to logging after the fact in comparison to having a tool actively aiding you mid-fight.
@Worryy_@JesseWWhite21@bruised_paw@ankirq There's a major difference between having to guess, as you won't be as extremely precise as someone who can outright see their hitbox at all times.
Legit players will overcorrect to be safe.
@chirithies There's some people going "omg its the hardest fight in the game they still cleared it" and it's like...
They literally have a history of using an addon which shown them their exact tiny hitbox so they could much more easily dodge hard mechanics in the past lol.
@mugiwararuby The dot tells you your exact hitbox, allowing you a lot more ease in tightly dodging attacks. Which means less need to move as much.
Raiders who play legit overcorrect their movements by a fair bit because they cant see the exact tiny hitbox.
@mihata_y@ankirq Cosmetic character mods aren't the same as having a hitbox marker on your screen letting you get extremely tight attack dodges for free
@JesseWWhite21@Bloodspiller_@ankirq There's a huge difference to having stuff that explains how you died (which reading the ingame combat log can tell you) and having a marker on your screen that tells you your exact hitbox to make dodging attacks in real time a lot easier.
@KnightsTomboy@Faythe1052801@ankirq This team legitimately has a history of cheating to get a world first.
That's why people want their POV and aren't trusting them at face value.
@JesseWWhite21@bruised_paw@ankirq The previous scandal where they got a "world first clear" involved them having a dot on their screen showing the actual small hitbox of the player enabling them to have extremely tight dodges that would otherwise be extremely difficult and inconsistent.
Cheats are cheats.
@mexican_sunbro@Actually_Tina Apparently ingame it lists you as in Sigmascape V4.0, so I was thinking it'd be so funny if the false clear enables a flag where you need to queue for Sigmascape V4.0 Savage instead of the ultimate to continue the fight properly.
@dirkysb@scott_timbrell@darkk_hors People asked for nerfs to her snd they buffed her, it's not the "haters' fault".
They nerf based on Wingate a lot of the time, as well as from seeing how oppressive a character can be.
