Let's go back in time first to see some of the reasons why.

Starting with the Conservative government's 'war on wind'.

Renewables have seen massive growth over the last decade right?

10ys ago: ~80% global energy use was fossil fuel.

Today, its still ~80%.

Global energy consumption continues to grow.

Sadly so too does use of fossil fuels.

There is a major need to reduce overall consumption.

On average, 8.5/9 per 100,000 commit suicide in Ireland which translates to 416 people (approx). There were 421 deaths by suicide in 2019. Ireland has the 4th highest rate in Europe for males aged from 15-24. 1/2

The crowds couldn't gather this year, but inspiring to see the Darkness into Light movement. A huge event in Ireland supporting suicide bereavement and prevention services. #DILSunriseAppeal #DIL2020

The #Samaritans are running a dedicated service for frontline #NHS staff.

With self isolating volunteers being there and offering support around the clock.

Thoughts for medical staff during these times.

A self funded branch, that relied on support from local businesses, general public and our charity shop, now needs help to stay open and be there for others and support them during these uncertain times.

Any donation can help us be there for people in isolation and NHS staff.
