@JoelWashko Goldy and Arenado never really showed up in this short series. Our pitching did everthing they could tonight. I thought both Miles and Monte pitched well. Our big bats just couldn’t give them any run support. All in all it was fun this past month seeing Albert get to 700.

@JoelWashko Cardinals pitching can’t hold a lead for nothing. Same thing happened earlier this week. Blew a 5 run lead to the marlins. I would almost rather us not jump out to such a big cushion early , because we almost always give it right back.

@Frank_Cusumano Wonder why Schildt didn’t go with Dakota Hudson in the 9th? He’s looked sharp lately, I thought they might use him. Tonight was a 1 game winner take all so use all you got. Even if it means going to a potential starter in order to get to the next series.

@bschaeffer12 I completely get what you’re saying dude. I know people are gonna gripe and criticize the manager after a game like this . I don’t even really feel bad because this was predictable. Just wasn’t thrilled to see him go to Reyes.

@bschaeffer12 What’s the definition of insanity? “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”. So why go with Reyes? We’ve seen over and over the games he’s given away this year. He shouldn’t have even been on the roster. It’s a 1 game winner take all.

@bschaeffer12 If I hear our bullpen referred to as the big 3 one more time! 🤦‍♂️. This is the 2nd Sunday in a row Reyes has gave up a game winning HR. This is the 4th time in 8 games one of the “big 3” have blown a save. If we had half of the games back the 3 have blown this season. Ugh!

@JoelWashko Every time I tell myself that we have hit an all time low , they surprise me a few days later by even going lower. I can’t believe the amount of games Reyes has blown just these last 2 months. It’s disappointing.

@Cardinals We took our little ones to the game tonight. The only consolation is they won’t be old enough to remember this mess. Good thing tickets were only $5. Wouldn’t want to pay anymore than that to see this team. I expect they will be giving tickets away from here on out.

@Cardinals Plus, why did it take so long to get Gallegos out there? It was obvious Reyes was in trouble early on. I guess the damage was done, but where the heck is the sense of urgency?

@Cardinals I feel bad for Oviedo. The kid finally pitches a gem and then this happens. That has to be one of the worst and most painful blown leads I’ve ever seen in my 30 plus years of following the Cards.
