Deirdre Doyle

[UCD School Ag & Food @ucdagfood]

From the RDS to fields of barley across the country, Deirdre Doyle has a busy life. Deirdre is a UCD graduate of the BAgrSc in Animal and Crop Production and now works as a field trials manager in @teagasc Oak Park, looking after mainly cereal and potato crops.
But this video from the @DublinHorseShow highlights her other love outside the tillage sector; Deirdre and her family breed horses and she competes in show jumping events with the horses she breeds.

This year, she aims to qualify her 4-year-old homebred mare, Tangeliza, by Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve, out of the Cruising mare Done Cruising.

Well done to these three students, who received bursaries from the Irish Tillage and Land Use Society last week.

The bursaries recognise students for their excellent performance in the final year of their cereal and crop classes.
