@SrtaDennyIrl I love PH. 'Frankenstein' would be good with HL as ST. Could go 'Hamlet' as ST with PH, 'The Crucible' and 'Casablanca' or 'Rosie'. Good ideas for cultural context. I want to do 'The Crucible' somewhere.
@SrtaDennyIrl I read it in a couple of days too but I don't plan to teach it. I can't offer reasons unless I give spoilers! I have started 'Days Without End' by Sebastian Barry. Too soon to give an opinion. 'Macbeth' is an idea for the comparative instead of 'Hamlet' for the single text.
@SrtaDennyIrl I agree with you. It's a two year cycle. Their writing skills develop over this time. They discover which genres suit them. Someone else made a point about levels. If a student sits a HL P1 at the end of fifth year, how can they switch to OL at the end of 6th year? #LCReform
