@ChrisCinciBiz I believe this is the same member of council who at that time referred to the city's contribution to Riverbend 2.0 as a "loan" which it is not.
Set the stage for concern of his ability to comprehend financial matters which happens to be a big part of his job.
@ChrisCinciBiz Lobbyist influence trumps sound fiscal policy backed up by a study by the city manager's office dispelling the need for such a city contribution to Riverbend 2.0.
Some things never change on Plum St.
@ChrisCinciBiz Interesting vote from Ryan James.
When the issue for funding for Riverbend 2.0 first came up for $8 million he referred to it as a "loan".
I guess someone explained the reality to him in the interim.
@ChrisCinciBiz If it does it would be no surprise.
This didn't come up overnight.
The concept of "transparency" takes a swift kick to the groin area. Again.
@ChrisCinciBiz True, but they always seemed to be the highlight with mass participation.
The proposed new version seems to have Jeff Berdings fingerprints on it.
@ChrisCinciBiz Wow. Ballsy move and not even an election year.
Is it too soon to announce a run for the mayor's office or is it never too soon for those who seek it?
@StarrWriter55@ChrisCinciBiz Oakley has the old rec center mothballed while student and senior programs in the new one fill up and have waiting lists 20 minutes after sign-ups open.
The capacity is there, but not the will to make it happen.
@ChrisCinciBiz Oakley Station. Not exactly "adjacent".
There is a multi lane rail yard between the shopping district and the Neyer development with the $1+ million homes. They were the feature of Home-a-rama last summer.
The rail yard operates 24/7.
@ChrisCinciBiz Amen!!!.
Would love it but unlikely from the standpoint is the room needed for the many gas pump infrastructure which may be lacking.
This is a big footprint big box type store plus the pumps.
@ChrisCinciBiz@CityOfCincy Yes. The city shifted a basic service from tax paying citizens living in the density they seek having them pick up the tab for garbage removal.
Very raw deal. I think of it often on "garbage day".
Roots of the policy go back to candidate Chris Seelbach advocating "tipping fees".
