Gunmen Attack Late FRSC Officer’s Burial Convoy in Kogi, Abduct Nine Mourners, Leave Corpse Behind.

Gunmen have attacked a convoy conveying the remains of late FRSC Deputy Corps Commander Augustine O. Ikwue along the Ochadamu–Ejule Road in Kogi State, abducting nine mourners, including two FRSC personnel.

The attackers are demanding ₦50 million ransom from the family for the release of the victims. The corpse, which was abandoned at Ejule Community after the attack, was later recovered and handed over to the family for burial.

The late officer, who died after a brief illness in Osogbo, Osun State, was being transported to his hometown in Otukpo, Benue State, when the incident occurred.
