@psmithdad I know we are all doing our best - especially in these times. I want people to think about it and explore it. Had AI write a few things for me today. I've been mulling over how to use it with the kids for the rest of the day.
This is a game changer. We must look at what we teach and how we teach it. What are we expecting from students. As an educator you need to check out ChatGPT. I put in a creative writing assignment my students completed before the break and it wrote a good story. Ss will use this.
If ChatGPT doesn’t cause educators (& education) to pause & reflect on how & what we teach, our students are being underserved & undervalued.
Never before has the need for skills such as curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, personal/social awareness been so important.

@trev_mackenzie Just had a look at it this morning. This has to be a game changer. Thinking skills, critical and creative, are going to be so important in creating learners who don’t just regurgitate. I asked it to write a 5 paragraph essay on Residential Schools in BC. It was pretty good.
