Today in 1971, JJ Cale’s debut studio album, “Naturally” was released. With 12 tracks, including “After Midnight,” “Call Me the Breeze,” and “Crazy Mama,” the album was able to introduce the world to his sound for the first time. Cale recorded many songs on the album using an early drum machine, showing his innovative musical engineering abilities. A trait that would follow him throughout his career.
