India’s renewable energy capacity has scaled rapidly. Over 250 GW installed. A record 44.5 GW added in 2025 alone.
But generation is no longer the real constraint. Storage is.
India has less than 1 GWh of commissioned battery storage today. The Central Electricity Authority estimates we’ll need 411 GWh by 2031–32. Without storage, renewable power gets curtailed, capacity factors fall, and value is lost.
If the next phase of the energy transition is about reliability and dispatchability, long-duration storage becomes critical.
This is why we invested in @DelectrikInfo, India’s only MW-scale manufacturer of vanadium redox flow batteries. As the country moves from under 1 GWh of storage to hundreds of GWh over the next decade, solutions built specifically for 4–12 hour grid storage will matter.

This milestone project marks a major step forward in the nation’s journey towards long-duration energy storage (LDES) solutions, enhancing renewable energy integration and grid resilience.
